New Grower 1st Stealth Grow PC Style DWC

Nice result, not sure why voodoo is so expensive? plus I'm having trouble finding it instock in the uk

Happy growing

Thanks a lot villain. But that's a very good question, that's exactly why I got the smallest cheapest voodoo juice I could find. Have you tried Amazon.

The scrog wouldn't interfere with your res changes at all if you can get yourself a water transfer pump like this. It's the same one I use for my 15gal res: Water transfer pump

The scrog screen would be at least 8 inches above your reservoir. You could make a small hole on the top lid for when you use the transfer pump and then cover it with aluminum foil when you're done so light doesn't go through. The pump shouldn't get in the way of your scrog and you should be able to do a complete res change with fresh nutes in 15 min.

You really don't have to clean the res at all unless you're using gunky nutes and have algae. Best thing to do is just add some 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide with every res change if you're concerned. It'll keep gunk at bay while keeping the roots healthy. A capful to the res every week is good. Some people do a tsp to a tbsp per gal but I feel like that might do some damage. I'll have to do some research on it. Don't use it if you have organic nutes though.

Just keep your res dark and cool (65-70 degrees f) and you won't have the above problems.

Vick...no lagina...lls. Really thanks for all the info I really appreciate that  bc I need as much as I can get. I've been shopping around for that pump but ill jus order it & I added sum 3% peroxide to clean the res. again thanks for the reply and tips! Sorry to hear about ur babies  good karma sent ur way

Update Day 6 of Germ

It seems like this has been the slowest germ process ever! & weirdest! So I had no root tips pop after the 24 hr soak, they were placed into rapid rooters 6 days ago. Two showed (double diesel Ryder & cheese berry) they popped on day 3 in the grow plug/rapid rooter and the Trans Siberian (TS) still showed nothing. By day 4 they were beginning to push thru the top, and Trans Siberian still showed nothing. By this time I had taken out the TS and placed it into a heat propagator with dome and heat mat to see of it would do anything in that environment, still nothin as of this morning. The Double Diesel Ryder showed promise from soak sinking automatically & the cheese berry is sprouting as well. They both now have a root coming out the bottom of the grow plug both about 3/4 of an inch long which I'm very pleased about!!!but they look kinda funny,(not the roots) I've seen babies like this before but never mine, they are about 3 or 4 cm above ground but still have the shells on them and they haven't grown the leaves out yet. Here's a couple of pics so far. What do you guys think? Any concerns or comments please shoot.

Hey man you're doing fine. Roots popping out of the netpots on day 6 is great! You might have to help them pull those shells off at this point. Do it very gently with some tweezers. I've had to do this plenty of times with my babies. The hydrogen peroxide will REALLY help your res out. After what I've researched, you want 2ml per gallon every 4 days because h2o2 has a die off around day 3. It'll keep your res clean, smelling like a pool and not like an aquarium. The h2o2 will also prevent you from overwatering.

Make sure that the label on the back of your h2o2 bottle says the hydrogen peroxide is 'stabilized'.

Give her nothing but ph'd water until day 12-14 then give her quarter strength nutes.

:booya: Keep up the good work

Hey Vick, thanks a lot  as always appreciate ur input! I'm super excited about the roots showing so soon, and I jus checked them out there at a full inch now and the Double Diesel Ryder shed its shell and looking green, leaves should be stretched out trying to hug the light by this evening. & the Cheese Berry shell is about to fall off so I'm glad that I didn't have to tweeze them off.

Jus added some more hydro peroxide about 2ml today since its been about 4 or 5 days since I last did it. Again thanks a lot for that info had no idea  that's going to save me time and paranoia over the res. & I have the 3% stabilized thank goodness bc when I first read that tip I jus went for it and didnt check the back.

I have been giving them RO water with a ph of 5.9 and tds ppm reading of 4. So I jus have them that for a couple of days and maybe Thursday or Friday (ill have to check notes) I actually added some AN Sensi Grow at about 1/8 1/9th strength and not even 1 ml of voodoo juice which only brought my ppm reading to 55 than I added a lil more of the mix I made to fill res back up and ppm rose 63, than to 73 than to 84 and than 86 this morning.

I figured since my RO was so clean and pure I could add a tiny amount of nutes to substitute the minerals and additives in a base tap water reading---my tap is in the 70's ppm and babies never had a problem before with that tds ppm reading of tap, which I have no idea what's in that, atleast I know where my base 70 comes from. If that makes any sense at all. But they seem to enjoy it for now, fingers crossed.

Thanks for tuning in good Karma blown ur way!! :bong:

Update Day 7 of Germ

What's good everybody!
The babies are looking very happy, Cheese berry and Double Diesel Ryder fully popped there shells off, I had manually take of a dry coat/film that was still on the DD restricting its first pistils from fully sprouting. The Trans Siberian is still showing nothing in the propagator so I decided to soak a Amphetamine Auto and placed that into a rapid rooter last night. Cheese Berry is about an inch above ground & DD is a lil below an inch but both their roots are about 4-5 inches out of the net pots!!! Looking real promising! The roots were under an inch yesterday so I'm impressed. :booya:

Also I can't seem to get the RH above the 30's any suggestions please? Placed a cup of water in there but no help and I've looked into little Humidifier plug ins but they're infused with Vicks vapors not sure if that's good for the babies. Any suggestions or comments would be much appreciated. Thanks

nice start OOOG!

i think 3 plants might be pushing your box limit bro -- the heat will continue to rise once the plants gets bigger as well.

- i would replace those weak pc fans with the bigger 120MM with atleast 110 CFM to get that grow box cooler
- keep the lights around 3-4" at all times during the grow
- look at the actual wattage (im thinking just by looking at your lights that they are 23W each (100 equavalent)

other than those things -- you have a great start so far (vegging wont be a problem -- flowering will be difficult with those girls)

love that box! -- LED would be nice in there as well :D
goodluck the rest of the way and ill be sure to check back

Damn, 7 days went by fast since last visit.. Roots are looking good! I better Sub up so I don't miss anything:smokebuds:

Yoo Herbal thanks a lot man appreciate the comments and your valuable input and right on time

- Experienced some high temps in the upper 80's due to spring weather, hight temps outside. I have an 80mm inside the box and then another 80mm attached/stacked to double the power and I have more 80's laying around you think if I drill another exhaust 80 mm outtake next to it would suffice??? What you think bro?

- Just moved them up they're about 4 inches now. And your correct there's 3- 23w 6700k and 1- 13w 2700k. Also I was actually looking at the same Blackstar 100w LED UFO your about to get I emailed Lighthouse for the actual depth since all they gave was the 7" diameter and what's the minimal hanging limit (for our tight spaces) still waiting on response maybe you can tell me bf them.

- The third baby is Amphetamine Auto which is supposedly very short and compact so hopefully it really is so it doesn't get too too tight& why do you think Flowering will be tough?

Herbal thanks a lot for taking your time to stop by and check my journal and dropping micro knowledge :key: much appreciated and look forward to your next visit! :smokebuds:
