Mephisto Genetics 1st Time Grower, Mephisto Sour Crack, Mephisto Fantasmo Express, & Mephisto Crackberry Photo

Also I started to feed them Calimagic and Protekt this week. I wanted to know if this yellow/browning of the lower leaves on the Crackberry #2 pointed to a calmag deficiency? I've also had some clawing on the Crackberry, it looked liked nitrogen toxicity. I'm assuming from too strong of nute's. The leave discoloration started this right before last weekend. New growth looks awesome though. I also pushed the nute's a little too hard and tailored that back as well. I'm deathly afraid of screwing up lol so any opinions on my plants would be greatly appreciated.

Also when do I start bloom nutrients on the auto's? As in what signs do I need to see to begin?

Here is the picture of one of the lowest fan leaves with the discoloration I was talking about:

I am looking at those big fat leaves on your Sour Crack, that seems very promising.
Yeah man, they are bushing out about 12-14" wide. The 2 gallon pot is 10" across. The youngest one seemed to grow taller so I'm curious to see how she turns out.

calmag deficiency?.......New growth looks awesome though.

If your new growth looks awesome.... keep doing what you are doing. That discoloration in the old leaf is telling you that the plant WAS stress at the time, but nothing can repair the damage in that old leaf and you could get into wild swings chasing old problems. If your new growth is looking good... you are laughing.

Okay good. It's mainly just the one plant (Crackberry #2) all of the Autos have zero discoloration, the Fantasmo very slight on the lowest 3 pronged fan leaves. Like I said, I just started a daily dose of calmag 2.5ml/gal, and protekt at 1.5ml per gallon mixed in with half strength nute's on Tuesday. So I'm sure I won't have any issues in the future.

I've read some contradicting information on when to introduce bloom nute's.... should I wait until at least week 4-6 before I switch to bloom nute's, or should I switch to bloom nute's when they show sex? #1,#2 Sour Crack has popped pistils as well as the Fantasmo. I'm aware that the Fantasmo takes about 15 more days then the Sour Crack to finish, so I'm wondering if you know when I should switch from grow to bloom as far as what developmental stage their showing me?

To get the most size out of your plants the best time to make the switch to bloom is after the pre flower stretch when vertical growth has finished, when the first pistil shows they are your pre flowers now you will notice just after pre flowers start showing vertical growth will get visibly faster and continue this was for 2-3 weeks, now you will want to make the switch when this growth period finishes i like to record the daily height through this time and then you can see when it starts to slow and stop on paper and make the call to switch.

You can make the switch during the stretch to get a plant to finish quicker but this will come at a cost of some lost yield, if you have not seen it already Muddy's lifecycle of autos is a great read to get a understanding on how our autos live their lives and what to watch out for in them to know where in life they are at.

Quick update: Tents really filling out!

The Fantasmo has really shot up, she's now the tallest of the bunch.

The 2 Crackberry photoperiod are huge as well, very bushy. They are at day 30 and 28 now, I'm eager to see how they turn out once I've harvested all the Autos I have in about a month and I can switch them over to 12/12.

All 3 Sour Crack are pretty close in height, around 10 inches. I've begun LST on 1 and 2. 1 is at day 30 and has really bushed out and has a bunch of bud sites, 2 is getting there, she's 2 days younger though. 3 is the youngest yet is keeping up in height and seems to be a little less "bushy".

The Fantasmo has started to develop flowers which is exciting. She is at day 26.

I'm really hoping I can figure a way to budget a second tent, lights, and intake and exhaust fans on the 1st because I'd like to separate the photoperiod and start their 12/12 cycle. Mostly because I'm worried about their size and I'd like to flower them and also know whether they're females or not. It's hard to be patient when you're seeing such great growth.

So I have a newb Question. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I'm hoping someone with experience can fill me in. I've been concerned about my two Crackberry photo regs turning out to be males. All signs point to them being female, tight internodial structure, very bushy etc but... Can a photoperiod plant (if male) pollinate my females if they are kept in the vegetative state? They are 4 weeks old, and I know that I should be able to determine their sex in the next 2 to 4 weeks, I'm just worried that if it turns out that they ARE males, and I don't catch it quickly that I will end up pollinating my autos which would crush my soul. Lol.

I've taken a cutting from one crackberry to attempt force flowering to determine sex that way as a experiment of my own, and to teach myself to clone in general because if I do end up with 2 female crackberrys I plan on cloning a few to fill the tent out after I harvest the Autos next month.

I just want to make sure that if they happen to be males that they can't rape my ladies unless they were in actual flower. Any info would be great!
