Grow Mediums 385W CFL 'Think Different' DWC cab grow

Day 82.

Been refilling with plain ph'd water all last week to gradually reduce ppm, although its still between about 700-1500 as its drinking about 3-4 litres a day, it doesent seem to be absorbing as many nutes as before. This week will carry on to do that and give it a full flush with just plain water for about 3 days or so. Some of the buds still have quite a few white hairs, and are still swelling a little bit.

Hey there, I believe the air pump I use is the cheapest version of this (Ario 1) http://www.ukgroworks.co.uk/productDetail.cfm?ID=12082. It came with this Ikon oxy pot set i got http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280806538181?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648

Im not sure how many litres per hour this pumps, but seems to be plenty for my 20L pot and you dont have to worry about having an external pump. Anything over a certain amount and you're just turning you DWC into an aeroponic system, as there is only a certain amount of oxygen the water in your reservoir will hold.

Hope this helps

i got ario 4 ,it make so much noise , thanks mate

Thats still gonna do a sweet job, i've seen lots of people blast their res with bubbles and get nice results. Seymore-buds' grow had a huge pump and his roots on his Think Different plant got massive, although im sure thats also due to how well he grew his plant.

I can imagine its loud... even mine is a bit noisy due to it being stuck to the bottom of the pot causing the whole floor to vibrate. Maybe try putting ur pot on a folded towel or something? should reduce vibrations

Thanks Tav, I think it probably has about a week and a half or so of stretching to do still.

I've increased PPM to about 620, will be monitoring it to see if it increases or drops and act accordingly! Am hoping to pick up a 400W hps before it switches to full flowering.

Also due to the smell (already quite difficult to contain) i'm going to have to move the box to our outdoor workshop which is a small detached building from the main house, its quite a bit colder in there than the house so was a bit worried about the night time temperatures. Does anyone have any experience with heaters such as this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Grow-Room..._PlantsSeedsBulbs_JN&var=&hash=item2a270a9760

Or am I going to need something bit more powerful?

Anyways couple of pics, responded nicely to the LST :)

I know this is a dumb newbie question.. but how do you increase ppm? just add more nutes to the same amout of water?

Thanks,

:pimp:

Yeah, PPM just stands for Parts Per Million (number of total disolved solids in the water). So essentilly to increase it you just need to increase the ratio of nutes to water

:toke:

hey bambud looking really nice bro dwc seems to be doing the business top job fella
