Okay.. sorry its been a while, but here are the harvest pics. Cut her down on the 10th, left drying for 7-8 days at temps of around 15-20c and RH of 50-60%.
There was way more bud than I expected when I started to cut those nugs off the branch, with maybe 75% of them being rock hard, and rest a little bit fluffy, but still to be very smokable when cured. I was way off when it came to the jar purchasing, originally just got the 3 small jars you see in the pics (think they are 1.5L) and that wasnt even enough to hold the fluffy portion of the buds. So had to gu buy 3 more 2L jars... which still wasnt enough, so had to put what is basically all the very top nugs of the plant in a huge cake tupperware.
I'm really not sure of the weights, but just the small jars with the fluffy buds weigh about 36g each, so I can only imagine what the big 2L jars and the tupperware with the top hard nugs will weigh.
wow, that is some crazy Shit bro, well worth a few
can I pick your brains on a PPM issue I am having with my current venture.
I am about day56 of a DWC TD. if I ramp up my PPM to anywhere over 1300 by the next day its leapt to like 1700. Now I put this down to drinking more water than uptake of food. It will remain stable if I drop it to 1000-1100. Would you recommend keeping it at the lower end of the scale. this was my thought. however there are no signs of nute burn if i leave it at the higher end..
Having read your journal in more detail, I would say you were at the same point as me when you were running about 1000PPM, so that probably explains that lol
hey man, thats a great looking TD you got there, i'm not sure how big yours is but honestley seems almost identical to mine when it was at the same stage, you should have a heavy yield if you look after her.
Yeah as you read in my grow at that stage of its growth the PPM was pretty much staying at 1000-1100. If you get the perfect grow conditions (PH, room temp, etc), at this stage of growth it should'nt vary much. I know what you mean about not really showing sings of nute burn, mine didnt really either when the PPM got too high, seems to be a very resilient plant. However the way I think of it is that if the PPM is increasing drastically over night, its a clear sign that your plant is not uptaking all the nutrients you are supplying it, nute burn or not it will probably stress the plant a bit long term. I know I personally feel better when I dont eat way too much!
Try keep her in its sweet spot, towards the end of the grow she'll be demanding up to 1500-1600ppm if you've treated her nicely
Happy growing man! i'll be following your thread. And thanks for your kind words bro!
Maybe to an extent yeah, could get different phenotypes that grow a bit differently, but it should'nt make a massive difference, and im sure DP have isolated the best ones. Even different nutrient brands wont make much of a difference, I only used General Hydroponics' 3 Parrt Flora series nutrients. Biggest factor that decreases yield is stress on the plant, considering you have enough light and all
