New Grower 3rd grow: samsaura thunder bloody mary

View attachment 137041View attachment 137040Should I transplant all into new pro mix? I believe that I really fucked up this soil with coco fiber, maybe more than 25% by volume. To add insult to injury I placed a layer of fiber in the bottom of each pot so I will never know when it's dry. The reason the left front ended up so wet is I added 2500ml of water just to get runoff. If I keep this up I will kill everything. On the other hand the two rear bloodymarys are 4in but 24 days old. It will be a few days until the pro mix gets here so doing nothing seems best.

I'm with Muddy, chances are you probably over-watered. I mix EWC in with Sunshine Mix #4 advanced and have good luck germinating seeds, so I wouldn't be quick to blame that as a causative factor, but I have heard of people seeing very low pH from EWC, so there might be a nitrogen lockout causing the leaf yellowing. I think the best policy is to leave 'em alone for a while and see if they start to shape up as they dry out.

No, I probably wouldn't transplant them. At their size you run the risk of stunting them if not done correctly. I suspect you're got a pH issue developing. I would let them dry out good, then give a good watering and check the run off. Once we know where your pH is we can work on getting it straightened out.

Also, been meaning to comment about your pot stickers. They are much more effective if hung rather than sticking to the sides of the pots. That way any insects will fly into them and stick.

I don't have an insect problem, I just used them to mark the creamatic vs bloodymary. I put 1/4 teaspoon lime and watered lightly but that will not be enough for 3gal. I added another 1/4ts but can't water in yet. I do mist with water lightly every day. With the 20/4 light cycle my tent temps are going down to 75f will that also slow growth?

No, 1/4 teaspoon won't be near enough. How much to add depends on what your starting soil pH is. You would probably need something more along the lines of 1 tablespoon per gallon of soil, if not more.

Is 75 degrees your low temp? What's the high temp? 75 is a bit low but within a reasonable range. 79 - 80 is ideal.

72f is the low during the dark 4hrs and 77f high, I will order a small heater to raise the room temps. I do not think I will be able to add any more granluar lime because I can't water it in without over watering. Tent time has already been wasted, can I expect results worth the time? I have enough seed to just start over.

This grow is over. I can't waste anymore tent time. New promix will be here wednesday and I will start over.

Jeez, I hate to see anyone have to start over like that, but I understand where you're coming from.

I planted 5 Samsara shot adrenaline tonight. I used stright promix, nothing added, in 3gal bags. I soaked the seed for 2 hours or so while I filled the bags and lightly misted after I planted the seed. The led is 16in above the soil level, I have to use a 24/0 lighting to keep my temps up, can't afford heater or energy bill. Temps and humidy are 77.5/60% in the tent but I have the room up to 82/83 so it should continue to rise. I have FF grow big for veg and humboldt snow storm ultra for bloom nutes. If I need to change the ph later what should I use? I have a rapitest ph meter by Luster Leaf Products, it just goes into the wet soil, is that ok? It was a hard way to learn that I still need to work on the basic parts before I freelance.

I would have soaked the seeds longer. I usually soak mine for 24 - 48 hours until the seeds crack and the tap root starts to emerge. At the same time I start the soak I water the soil with water pHed to 6.5. Then when the seeds are ready I plant them 1/2" deep and cover them with some fine soil. Keep the soil moist but not overly wet.

Unfortunately, those Rapitest meters aren't reliable and can be off by .5 or more. You're going to need a good liquid pH meter to be able to adjust your water and feeds. I would suggest something like the Hanna Combo. For soil, the Control Wizard Accurate 8 is about the best. But for now you can get away with just a liquid tester. To check your soil pH you can capture some of the water that runs out the bottom of the pots when you feed them.
