6.5L vs. 11L

I voted 11 litre.

For me - that would be enough pot space to see an auto through to it's maximum potential. (as in if everything goes perfectly with the feeding, environment etc etc)

here's a comparison between a 10 litre and maybe 1 or 1.5 litres worth of medium.
(.... the difference when it doesn't all go to plan lol )

Same strain - same light, same coco, same feed, same time.

Iv got my girls in 10L Airpots and they are big girls, I don't have the water pissing out of the holes problem the coco just absorbs it and the always a nice 10-20% run off from the bottom. Saying that iv seen some growers get huge plants out of 6.5L square pots with coco.

Good stuff, guys! Keep it comin! I have a SAD auto in what I believe to be a 4.4L (1.2 Gal?) air pot, in coco, atm. Just to get some experience in with coco. So far, so good. Got mad stunting at the beginning due to mag def (maybe cal too), but she caught up quickly! Almost as tall as my TD in a 5 Gal (20L) air pot! The only thing is that she is far behind in maturity, like she only has preflowers when my TD already has young buds (started at the same time).... My SAD, she's so immature; just txts, gets high and plays video games all day, lol!

That is just that strain tho.. Some dont need as much root space as others and are able to perform just as well in smaller mediums only b.c genetically it is a smaller plant... I think a better test would be to take.. an auto mazar, think different... something that gets big.. do the same test.. and I know the results will vary greatly... But i Do think Great results can be achieved in smaller pots.. but for growers lacking the skill sets.. I think it would be easier for them to get a larger plant with a larger container...Cheers to all!

You can still pull good yields. Personally I think Airpots and Coco are a winner. I get crazy root mass trying to get out the bottom, which iv never had in soil. If there is any run off left in the trays it just gets slurped back up! :D I can't wait to get some root porn when she's done, it's going to be insane.

So Pharmasy, even in 3L Airpots, you will be surprised at what you may get. Plants in Airpots get huge root mass so they can produce good size plants, if anything it may become too small for the plant. I believe a 6L Airpot can substance a plant comfortable at 100cm. So a 3L maybe 60cm?

I voted for smaller one. I have 8L coco bucket now and plant is bit too tall (a 90cm supposed dwarf strain) so I'd imagine 6.5L would be perfect for my 1 plant grow space.

Great input, guys! Your opinions and experiences are invaluable to me. +Rep to you all! Keep it comin! (Mr. Kip, I'm gonna +rep you again when I can.)

My sad is really big for her pot size (IMHO), but my TD in a 5 Gal air pot seems kinda small. Maybe it is because I used roots organic?
