Mephisto Genetics 6 Sour Cracks... Biotabs 1 vs 2 per pot.

I will be hooking 3 plants up to Autopots and Airdomes tomorrow. I also transplanted one more Sour Crack and tossed the little seedling, started soaking a new seed today. Will wait 2-3 days to see if it pops a tail and plant directly into AutoPot, already mixed up my Coco and precharged it, will keep it moist while waiting to plant seed in a couple days. Next Mephisto seeds I am going to try the DVD case germ technique. Most of the Sour Cracks and 24 carat seeds have not opened by just soaking in a small cup of water, but still germinate and pop up fast once planted. I prefer to have a nice tail if possible when I plant seeds...all of my 3BOG had nice tails within 2-3 days. But the other 2 strains only had a few open each. Maybe having moisture on every side of the seed will open those strains up better than floating in water. I have had 100% germ rate my way, but worth comparing to see how they do in the DVD CASE. The thing I like about my mini cups is that I do not have to touch the seed, just pour it out. Will take a couple pics in a few days to see how the Airdomes/Autopots are doing. Peace

Okay, hooked up 3/6 Sour Cracks up to Autopots with Airdomes. Being fed straight water, as directed by Biotabs. I will be hooking the other 3 up next week, they have no Airdomes...seeing the difference. I would assume the Airdome plants will grow better. I also put 7/9 of my 24 carats in the same space. They will be transplanted into Autopots later this week. Trying to build the root system up before transplanting...will give them 4-5 more days before attempting. Peace, slow

Hey Big, the amount of tabs depends on the pot size. Probably why you see so many different amounts. According to Biotabs take longer to work in Coco vs soil. I was told 1-2 tabs would be enough for 1 of the 2.2 gal AutoPots. I am trying a few different ways to see what works best. All have 2 Tabs, and 1 of them also has a tab ground up and mixed into the Coco...so a total of 3 tabs. I was told to grind one up and mix into the Coco after I had already made up some of the pots. I planted a new seed this morning directly into,the 2.2 gal pots. I made up the Coco a few days ago. Ground one tablet up and pushed 2 whole tabs into the coco. All of the other seedlings were started in cups and transplanted. This is the first one to,planted,directly into the pots with Tabs. I have a feeling that it is going to grow faster.

It has only been 1 1/2 days since I turned on the AutoPots/Airdomes, and I can notice new growth already. I put 3gal of RO water into the Reservoir when I set up the few plants currently with AutoPots on. More than 2 gal were gone as of this morning. I am guessing that the Airdomes will make the plants soak up more water than ones without. I will update pics this weekend. I can see growth in less than 2 days, I am excited to see how they look in a few days. Will update pics every weekend moving forward. Peace, slow

I bet you'll kill it with those pots. Have any pictures? I feed every other day whether they need it or not. My pots always stay wet and I always have good growth. Adding air to this is going to rock.

Sure Big, I will update a pic tonight and again in a few days. I have been growing in Coco forever, and I have multiple set ups. I have some Photo plants that I have Halo rings and pump/timer that goes on/off 4-5 times per day. These AutoPots and Biotabs for my personal use. I had a Total Hip replacement a month ago, so I wanted something super low maintenance. Biotabs are supposed to work really well with AutoPots, so I am excited to have them,going finally. I have a bunch of AutoPots. A lot more to hook up in the near future.

For anyone who cares, I have soaked all of my Sour Crack and 24 Carats I'm RO water before planting. Only about 2-3 ever opened in the cups of water, after 3 days. So the other day I put 3 more Sour Cracks in moist Toilet paper and on top of my veg tent. Less than 36 hours later all 3 have tails. So, that will be my germ,tech from now on! Guess they needed moisture on all sides. It worked like a charm, just planted all 3 Sour Crack seeds, all had tap roots. I predict they will be above ground in 24-36 hours. I have had 100% germ rate on all Mephisto seeds so far, but very few ever opened before planting.

That's how I've always done it. Moist paper towel on a small plate, seed, most towel, inverted plate, wrapped in a hand towel, place directly on my light. Tap root in 2 days. 100%
