Right I have no idea when it comes to led lights, looked in to them a bit but cant really find what im looking for so here goes
Found a led light which is around 30 watts with a 6400k range ( ideal for veg I hope ) and it puts out around 2500 lumens.
So Im after something to put seedlings under think this would work?

So usually CFLs are rated in 2700K to 6500K (K) range and LED spectrums are rated in "nm"

But yes, the 5500K and up are considered "veg spectrum" But at 30W, are you sure you aren't talking
about a CFL? 30W of LED is about as useful as a poopy flavored lollipop. ;)
(granted you're using them for seedlings, but for how long?)

my 2 cents.

For a bout a week before putting in to the cupboard, it would be one seedling under one 30 watt light for a week then under a 400 watter

Well....there's a taste I can't get out of my mouth now!

.....thanks Trapper.

I wonder if he is talking about those little LED lights for use in little desk lamps.

Led flood lamps(as the one on bottom) are good for seedlings, however as was mentioned before low watt ones will be good only for limited time of growth.
50W is better than 30W but I think 30 will work well for your seedlings in a small area(like 30x30 cm max).

Poopy flavored lolipops are making a come back since the swinging 60s lol new strains... anything less than 100 actual for an led isnt gonna produce much or very good quality for that matter. The master trapper is right.

Look at old school 180 watters. Those leds arent gonna break the bank and will get decent output for 1 plant. Get a couple of em and youll be rocking with a couple more plants lol or just dump $350 into Mars II series 1200 Thatll get the job done for yah.

Thats the one I have a 30 watt kicking around and was going to build a box to house it to start seedlings so I havent got them on display
