My 1216 CRi90 arrived yesterday, time to build a frame,
The people didnt have 4x2, so they sent me a 4x4 tent.
got 8 cobs to go in there
4 1212 and 4 1216 with 2 185-1400b drivers
will probably go 3-2-3

They are doing this same test over at rollitup and so far you cant tell the difference.

In the RUI thread above the lights on the left are about a foot higher than the lights on the right. Clearly seen by the block lines on the walls. Not too fair a comparison imo.

And it's the 90 CRi that are a foot higher. And producing the same growth.

I see what you mean but its only in one of the photos but the others they are the same height. I just asked him about that very question on riu. I also noticed he didn't separate the lights with a shield either so he is getting bleed over from both lights. However he said the test before this one he did them separately and posted the results. Its better than one example so far. Need to verify with more test to see if 90cri is better before investing several hundred in a new light system.

He has also done this test before, here is what he said about it to another member,

"Well the thing is I didn't really document it (pictures) so I didn't want to just blurt out comments with no back-up..
But I my observations running the exact same clones (same as are in room now) that the 90Cri tended to show a tad bit more bulk...
I mean very limited ..
I did yield about 3 ounces more on the 90 CRI side but that is very minimum in comparison.
Also I noticed the fade/colors showed a tad more on the 90Cri side also..the flowers had more of a spark to it,a tad more colorful with the oranges/and purple hues in the leafs..
But to sum it up ,I noticed NO actual compelling evidence that 90 CRI is better nor less then it's counter 80 CRI ..
Previous Run Yield -80 CRI -97 ounces
Precious Run Yield-90 CRI- 101 ounces
Exact same clones/veg time/nutrients.."

Personally I don't think two grows one after the other is a valid comparison though. It needs to be side by side in the same conditions. So many variable could have changed over time.

Can't see pics as not a member of the total anarchy forum lol. I would say this test is very flawed compared to the original comparison. Too flawed to be of value. The lights on the left WERE a foot higher for sure. How long for? No divider like you mention. Etc etc.
