Soooo. Im starting over tonight. My seedling never grew its first setvof leaves. It just stalled out. And the 2nd one that I had planted in the same 2 liter never came above soil. So I germed another seed last night that I will put in soil tonight. I also realized that the seed that had stalled on me was a fem seed and not an auto, so things would have gotten super interesting about a month from now. Lol. Im still with ya!!
I've had that hapen, its how it seems to,go! Its a friendly thing so if,it takes a while for you, ill germ another to keep with you. I'm a week a head. I just started using rapid rooters for my other seedlings without presoaking the seed overnight and they come above soil maybe 24 hours later than ones done in the paper towel method, but they seem to start growing more reliably. Only, one that failed was my dwc tyrone special because I have not enough knowledge on dwc so I'm going to do some peppers with dwc till I get it right then come back and do strains with it.
It seems I found my magical mix. Its 5 cups Jobe's free flow 4-4-4, a few of the organic 4'4'4 spikes that have been crushed in to small pieces, a slight toss of about a half cup of jobes fast start and finally add in to a black trashbag that is half filled with promix that has been expanded. Toss around in bag for a few minutes, get some, big buckets and take it out to the garden hose and water it to the top of the bucket, stir it well with a small hand held garden shovel for 5 minutes, add another cup of jobe's free flow and mix it in for a minute. Let it sit for a few hours then drain it out, after that in the bucket you're going to plant in, take a small hand full (probably 2 tbsp) of jobe's free flow per 3 gallon air pot and add 4 jobe's organic, spikes to the final pot and it activates everything well. it seems like it did the trick, at least with my white widow when modified to use the soil but only,1 spike. I still have to give it feedings starting soon, but it gives the seedling a great start, its day 9 and I think its just getting to time for me to feed it. I'm going to just use the gh trio and make it semi organic so after the flush there are still nutrients in the soil. I should note I use well water and I don't check the ph or ppm or anything and it ends up growing way better. I have to experiment more but ill try to post it if I get it. It has worked well for my other we who is exploding in growth now that I started the gh line on it at 1 tbsp flies micro and bloom, per gallon of un phd water.
So when it dries out it will get its first feeding.
