Hi. I'm hoping you guys can answer a few questions for me. Any advice is super-appreciated.
1) This lady is so short and bushy. Do you think she is maybe a lowrider?
2) is 3/4 strength floranova too much for her? Are veg nutes even necessary for autos since I am growing in potting soil?
3) See the very bright new growth at the top? Is this possibly a PH problem? I believe I was lowering my ph too much when watering. My other plant (Larger plant on the left next to my thumb) is not an auto and is showing the same symptoms.

Thx for any help.

it could be from lowerin ph to much(mg/cal deficiency?). i have automazar (firstgrwo) in 2.7L pots (week 7) and was trying to lower my ph. wasn't carefull at all (since it's kind of a test grow) so i watered with ph aroud 3-4 to lower it from around 7.5-8ph. since i have done that tops have become bright and also other biger fan leaves has started to become more yellow.

hope some other more expirienced users give you a tip

about nutes it is recomended that you do not give at the begining. and then start with 1/4 or 1/3 of strenght and slowly bild your way up ... even with light mix soil solution first two week you water without nutes.

Scotts products, including Miracle Grow, are know to be pretty unfriendly for growing autos, which I believe your plant is. They contain slow release nutrients which are often too strong for autos as well as moisture retention pellets which can trap too much water. Even their perlite is treated with nutrients, which should be washed to remove them before use. pH has also been an issue with their products. Given the amount of nutrients already in your soil I doubt you'll need to supply much in the way of additional nutes. Maybe 1/4 strength, but certainly not 3/4. Do you have a pH meter? If so, it would be helpful to know the pH of your feeds as well as the pH of the water that runs out the bottom of the pots after watering them. We would need that information before recommending a course of action.

I am mad at myself for buying this potting soil. I didn't know it was Scotts. I would never have purchased it. The bag says supersoil and I remembered that term from the forums so I bought it :) Yes, even the MG perlite has nutes. Total bummer for me. I think I was just anxious to get rolling :)

Here is my plan.. I already flushed with 7.0 filtered water. I'm going to back off the nutes. Maybe 1/3 floranova for flowering.

Next grow, I'm going to use Ocean Forest mixed with perlite and maybe some light warrior and dolomite lime. I probably won't use veg nutes at all unless my bottom leaves begin to yellow..

I own a ph chemical kit which probably caused my troubles in the first place. It's too difficult to be accurate. I would have been better off not PH'ing at all. I'll get a decent digital. Going to add a little dolomite to the surface next time I water.

She seems to be doing great though and today showed sex.

Thx everyone..
