A Garden Of Goodies

Lookin good bro, really good to see the Muay Thai looking so perky.

Thanks Jraven, yeah it's good to see the Thai coming back. I've never dealt with gnats before so it's a good learning experience. I was worried about her mature size anyway, with the time she lost she'll end up a more manageable size I think but she's a lanky grower. Now she's spread out a bit she'll start taking up more space. I'm trying to keep her under led as long as possible to control the stretch. Looks like we're in for a week or more of cool weather, 65 to 72 days and 48 to 55 at night. I can't see putting her outside for that....

Thanks again for stopping by, hope you're getting good weather up there. :bump:

Well here's an update, I know if I update too often it will look like they're not growing, LOL.

Outdoor stuff is doing okay, it's cloudy and cool this week, but decided to flush them with the Nectar bone meal product. They recommend a periodic flush with it when using the Oregons Only #4 mix. Then I changed the reservoirs. They seem hungry again so I threw the usual biobizz bloom, bone meal, calcium, humics, carbs and great white. I've been bubbling them with the airstone about 6 to 12 hours a day, depending on my schedule. They don't recommend 24hrs of bubbles in the octopots saying it will whack the Ph. Okee dokey then.

Yeah, thanks, it's expensive to water that grass though, my preference would be to rip half of it out and grow food like there's no tomorrow, my wife won't go for it though. :haha:

The cat takes a lot of interest in the plants, I think because I do. I'm glad the octopots keep the plants a bit higher off the ground. :kitty: :eek1:

Muay Thai is coming on strong! You're gonna put it outside later aren't you?

I struggled with our front yard for years. A few years back we tore it out and started a Japanese garden which has been so much fun with bamboo and Japanese forest grass. We probably get a bit more rain up here than you do. We also turned part of the backyard in to a small garden.

Don't give up on the garden idea! Maybe you can start with a small strip furthest away from the house? Start with some of your wife's favorites of course!

Hi Medi
Sorry i missed so much of this journal dude. Im subbed now. Your plants are looking amazing by the way.

Thanks, Grim, nice to see you. Enjoyed your Think Big grow and looking forward to seeing the new model led light on the SODK. I think I'm going to try SODK as well, I'll be planting a few more seeds probably next weekend.

We've got more cold, wet weather on the way here, 4 days of mid 60s and 46 at night. One night is forecast for 44, that's 8C. Not real good at this stage of the game, as far as yield will go. Those are the breaks. I guess I've managed to stunt everything here to some extent, between the weather, gnat attack, and potting up the Dragons late. Thankfully there's 3 of them. Hard to pull off a "perfect" run, but I'm having fun trying new methods.

Thanks MediScrogs,

Il be starting my SODK seeds in about two weeks. Il be able to see a week or two ahead of me by watching yours. Are you going to grow them indoor or outdoor?
