Yeah that's what I Like to hear. I couldn't have said it better my self. I tell anybody who will listen to go low heat and invest in vac / chamber combo. Then once they do vac spend the time.I spent all day yesterday teaching a bro the proper tech with my equip. So hopefully he won't do it wrong. We made bout a oz of wax (he prefers that over shatter). He's got that super tasty that hell spred aroud and not smoke the partially purged crap he used to buy and not know the difference. He would give me a hit and it would be nice bright yellow or tan yellow. I would breathe out and say dude what disp did you get that ? He's like you're to picky. Wow. You guys up here in nw or down in cali? I wonder why the like button only works 1 out of ten times I hit it?

Northern cali, and yeah, all my friends are just starting to listen now on how important purging is. Im not just talking flavor even the future health issues itll bring up.

Love seeing shatter on here I recently picked up a scientific oven and have been making tons of bomb shatter! At first I wasn't sure the oven would be worth the $3000 I paid but it is and I'm very pleased with my purchase! All I do is set my oven to 109 degrees for 24 hours and open it up and dab it. It makes the cleanest errl I've ever smoked :thumbs:

You guys are going to have to teach me how to make shatter. I'll eventually acquire all the necessary equipment, but first I'd like to wrap my head around the technique and some of the terms you guys are using... like purge... defo do not know what that is. But hey, I'm a quick study and the end result both shatter and the advancement of quality cannabis know how. Ya'll can start a new thread/sticky if ya want.

I've linked this somewhere else but I found this to be one of the better videos to watch so you can get a feel for the whole process. Totally worth the work

Also look into turning the shatter into wax by further purging (removing impurities/moisture/water content using a vacuum chamber). I much prefer this product, but both kick ass

Here's another video on purging. Starts off with the hash oil already extracted, and he shows you how he uses a hot plate, two nonstick silicon pads and a cheap vacuum chamber to remove impurities from the wax. The stuff was extremely blonde too... very impressive looking.
