Do you have a loupe (magnifying glass) to look at the trichomes? This is the best way to determine ripeness. Google thricome ripeness there is just tons of information out there about it. I personally prefer ~20% amber trichomes. They run something like this for me:

All crystal clear = Very Racy head high, psychoactive, paranoia.
All cloudy no amber = still somewhat racy a little body buzz.
All cloudy with ~20% amber nice head high morphing into a relaxing body buzz.
All cloudy with 40% to 60% amber mostly body buzz with strong tendency to nap.
All cloudy > 60% amber Night Night.

Yes it could, different genetics show when they want. Can u get a close pic of a bud?
Man O is right, a loupe to see the trichs is necessary.

I do have a loupe, although I prefer my micro lense for my phone. I tried to get some pictures. Again, horribly unsteady hands.

This is from the big one; not the best picture. I'd say overall, they're probably about 50/50

The smaller one here, however, seems mostly clear.

I think that you are right. The lense dose help, my hands wont keep my loupe steady and its hard to really see the trichs well. Anytime you get mostly cloudy u can cut.

I cannot really tell from those pictures but it looks maybe a little early still. Here is what mine look like at about 10% amber when I start the 3 day hydro flush:

hi i just read your thread i have just finished 1 gsc auto and i have a close to 10 week old what light have you had these under as im surprised how small they are your still going to get a little bit off nice weed off them also are you sure they are autos. also ive made a lot of mistakes on every grow we only get better pal if i was you cant you pop another seed to and have something in reserve for after these end check my thread out @SpiffyFoxx if you have time
