adding lime to pot to correct ph

I have a plant thats in a 3gal pot. I think it has ph lockout from being too low. Its in ffof soil. I got some lime but they are pellets. Should I try and crush them up? Also how much do I add? Do I do it before I flush to correct problem?

I would crush them,then flush and mix about two tbls into top of soil,then water the lime in.It might take awhile to work so be patienced.

Will the lime stabalize the soil to the point where I still water in at 6.8?

Nothing will stabilize it exactly, you will need to water at the proper ph for your medium and check runoff. Adjust accordingly on your next feed/water cycle.
