Lighting Adding more light

Converting your panel would be the cheapest option. Do you have a picture of it? Also opening the cover would tell what type of drivers are in it. I could most likely wipe you up a parts list for under $75 that would increase your light and cut your current heat way down.

For instance a mars 300 has 30 par watts and 120 watts of heat. Adding 4 cobs in place of the blurple would give you 50 par watts and 50 watts of heat. The cost for that conversion is exactly 75 bucks.

How can I refuse? Here are pics: http://www.lighthousehydro.com/led-grow-lights/blackstar-chrome-180-watt-led-grow-light-fsf.html. I'll probably finish this grow before I make major changes. At that point, I can crack the cover. Are you saying that I may be able to use the existing drivers? Heat isn't a problem three seasons out of the year, but four seasons would be better.

In the meantime, chatted with Dan at Timber about adding 2 COB, 100 W kit - also an option at 235 USD. Blackstar did something right with this lamp. Maybe I should wait until it starts to die before I cannibalize it? Guess it will come down to watts per dollar.

cree used to be worth it. When a few people noticed citizen cobs and started doing tests they have shown to beat Cree at most wattages and also be less than half the cost. If you do go with timber which isn't that bad of a decision you will be blown away. I picked up some of the timber in the past. Now I only buy citizen. Here is my show off photo

2500 W? Scary how bright that must be. Looks more complicated, though. I could never solder well, and this is probably no time to start.

Chatting with Victor at Amare. He recommends the SolarPRO SP300 for about $500 with discount. Tempting. @BigSm0? Height is a concern 24" is maximum height scrogged. Maybe without optional lenses?
