It seems lately that my inline fan isn't working like it should,so I pulled my filter off and noticed my blower was sucking great like a high class whore. How can you tell if the filter is shot and slowing air flow down?I washed my prefilter but that didn't seem to help. The filter is a no name pkg deal 12inches x four inches about a year old.:help::grin:

well if you have an air compressor you can blow it the other way and try pushing it back, and if its a pre filter intake or something, but if its a carbon I really dunno if that would work.I seriously doubt it,I know with some porous material filters can test with a bright LED flashlight too.Im bettin ya need to replace it though in all honesty if its that old and you have noticed its gotten more restrictive."AFN smoke out"

How old was it nammy?
If it was sized correctly, it should have lasted a year
I find most people, are running undersize and then way too long.
I have a primary and secondary filter interior and exterior exhaust.
Primary gets used for exterior exhaust for six months, then I get a new primary and move the old one to secodary.
Secondary acts as a scrubber and just filters the air inside. It is done when I need a new primary.

The old lady hates the skunks I don't want her offended by em!

I got my self a cheap carbon filter, it done two grows but now its all gray under the dust cover and don't pull air through it no more. Time for a new one mate, i had to do the same. :Sharing One:
