Fantastic! Looking really good.

Have you looked into topping auto's? I'm having a huge issue with height with my current grow. I'm kind of going backwards here... Never grown seriously with HPS, always used LED. This time around I'm using the HPS and have a crispy top, ran out of room. Looking into topping my next plant but can't find any serious/real life examples.

You will find that with your DWC setup that the plant will grow towards the max height end of the strain description. DWC makes for a smaller root system that isn't concerned at all with reservoir size (unlike soil pots). Thinking this might help you out as well. Hopefully you can find more info than me. I even did a Google image search and just can't really find any definitive answers or pics.

Either way, great job so far!!!

Thanks for the suggestion nben. And kudo greetings, and welcome to the show. I hope I am able to pull this off.
I have heard that topping the autos is like a big nono? Well it's looks pretty short and stout for now, hopefully some LST and creative use of the trellis system later will help with the spread. I plan to make a mini SCROG using the trellis that the aerogarden comes with. The damn trellis is made from flimsy plastic. I want to somehow strengthen it so that it doesn't break.
will post pics soon.

I like the idea of the trellis! Who knows, miracle grow now owns the Aerogarden company. You can't tell me that they haven't been doing their cannabis cultivation research!! Maybe it's supposed to be used for it LOL Pretty far fetched but who the hell knows these days!!

Hopefully the trellis doesn't break but if it flexes maybe it was supposed to be that way to be less rigid and therefore fragile? Just throwing out random thoughts here sorry ;)

I am going to find out once and for all on my next plant what happens when they are topped. I have received so many conflicting reports that I am just going to find out for myself. Here is a pic that was posted for me when I asked about topping on the "Live Stoner Gossip" thread:

It got me pretty confident that topping has it's merits to the person who grows as a hobby. So no huge spike to burn under the lights, and those upper buds probably produced way more than what they would have otherwise...

Then you get those people that go on about how you will ruin your plant and get nothing. I am thinking that soil growers could be at risk but you will see what DWC does with your Aerogarden. It's pretty amazing!!

Again I ramble on and on, sorry!!! I look forward to seeing what you get going with your trellis! If you get this to work I might just downsize.

CRISIS! ALL STATIONS RED ALERT!! @Nben!
I changed the Res water and nutrients yesterday.
Help my roots are brown and there is gunk floating about.
This happened over a period of 12-14 hours.

I would like to do the following :-

Clean out the tank and wash with mild detergent.
Clean the air stones
Add water only with h2o2 solution for 24 hrs??
Put the plant back.

What is the concentration of h2o2 that is required? I will be using pharma grade which is 7% solution.
Any input or encouragement is welcome...

The part of the world I am does not have any of these products. Will have to make do with pharmacy stuff for now.

Ok things look better now. The roots are mostly rid of the brownish shade. But the roots are not pure white like before sorta a bit off whitish. The plant is in plain water for now in h2o2 solution.

Should I start nutes in this water or do I need to change it? When is the best time to start off the Nutes?

Sorry I'm late :( I don't think you have anything to worry about. My roots look like that all the time. The older they get the more beige they look. Not dark brown mind you but they are off white for sure. I would go ahead and add nutes as usual. The only time to get concerned is brown slime covering the roots, which would indicate your temps are way too high. The gunk could be from your water. Can't remember what you said you use, distilled or tap. Glad to see they are doing better! I honestly think the micro flora dyes the roots. Even when doing a nute change you will see the water has the brownish purple color even after a week...

Off to work, I will check back when I get home tonight.
