1. What is the number one thing you absolutely HATE about AFN? What sucks about this place?

Yeah, I'm a dick when it come to this, but the spelling of the members here drives me up the wall. Pistols? Plants don't have pistols; Yosemite Sam has pistols!

2. Do you like the new site upgrade? What DON'T you like about it? Be specific.

Yes, I do, though I didn't really have to get used to it as I was pretty new when the change happened. However, for some reason, the photos seemed better on the "temporary emergency" site than here. They expanded more, you know?

3. Is it easy to find your way around the site? Can you find what you're looking for?

Yeah, the search feature works well. As for how the site is laid out, that's just personal preference anyway.

4. Do you feel like you are getting the help that you need?

YES!!!! One case of thrips has made signing up here the best gardening move I've ever made!

5. What's the first thing you would change (if you could) to make the site more enjoyable?

Legalize it. Everywhere.

Here are my thoughts

1. What is the number one thing you absolutely HATE about AFN? What sucks about this place?

Nothing I hate, the only thing I thought was better on the old forum was the layout/contrast. I found it easier to see the separation between posts, quotes and likes with the old layout. The default font could also be slightly larger.

2. Do you like the new site upgrade? What DON'T you like about it? Be specific.

I love the new site, so far every feature I found is better. The admins have done a great job moving everything over. I feel the picture upload is much easier and faster with the new software. I also like the new features like tagging, alerts when someone quotes you etc. I like the profile drop-down menu where everything is easily accessible. I like the way it looks when you click on a user. Overall the forum has a more modern feel to it than before. I'm sometimes cranky when it comes to change but not in this case. Sure, you have to spend a little time re-learning how to do certain things but once you do I feel it works better than before.

3. Is it easy to find your way around the site? Can you find what you're looking for?

I think it's pretty easy. Took me a little while to find everything again as certain forums moved around a little.

4. Do you feel like you are getting the help that you need?

Yes, absolutely.

5. What's the first thing you would change (if you could) to make the site more enjoyable?'

If someone with a good eye for graphic design/layout could tweak the current look a little bit to improve the contrast that would be great. I'm personally useless at that stuff, I can only say what I prefer as a user once I see it.

Another thing, I don't know how to check who is moderating a certain forum. Is there a way to check that already?

Lastly, is there a way to restore the pictures? Not from your side but from my side. I have all the pics I just don't know how to upload them and make them visible in my old threads again? If there is a reasonable way to do it I would be interested in that, like if someone wrote a short how-to guide.

Anyone got any idea why AFN is so quite nowadays? we used to have an average of 200-300 people online at one time mostly guests but still a good number, I think the record number of people online at one time was 700 or so but we get nothing like that now, I would say we average 50 people on line at a time now. There has to be a reason for the huge decline, was it the site change over, a technical problem or a new vendor putting people off coming here. The most alarming thing is it's been like it a long time now with now increase.

I just wish AFN could be back to its glory days, just now we have 69 people on inc bots I've got videos on YouTube that get more traffic than this site now.
