How would AFN staff or even members distinguish who to mentor, some have different experinces. I really like this idea though man, if it could happen I’m in. I wouldnt mind sharing my experinces in growing. Me and another fellow grower help each other out a lot. Give each other encouragment on our journals.

Maybe if we could come up with some guidelines thanks for responding. I am only on my second grow and it's a mess. Tired of wasting money

It takes time to put it all together! Ive been working on some articles for various things...

I heard a whispet staff here are planning on making a complete autoflower grow guide.
My advice to all newbies is find a senior grower who has similar grow setup to yourself and copy what they do.
Most are more than happy to give tips and share feed schedules.
I grow in a wilma system- but not many other growers use the same set up.

Grow guides are awesome and I would personally love to see a complete indoor version...however I am not the one to write about indoor growing. The only problem I see with a complete indoor guide is the sheer complexity of such a guide, due to the tremendous variance in techniques, mediums, lights ect ect

This is what I'm looking for! If each section had a video section. Like edibles there could be a video on how to make stuff like coconut oil, cannabutter, how to make eliquid. Things like this, if not at least a video thread section where I can go and it takes me to a video on YouTube or wherever. I learn better by seeing. That way i can go to how to top and watch someone do it, not before and after shots. Im from the showme state lol.

Its "supposed" to be legal for rec growing here next year...if it does indeed become legal i will be doing a ton of videos on various subjects.

Also a section for training methods. I see a few growers ask recently how to lst. I love all the different ways to train and always looking for new ways. I am getting insane results from training and want to spread the word. Considering most people train in some way we should have a section for it, right?

this is the ideas section and your comments ARE being heard. @912GreenSkell is working on some guides as we speak. I am helping in a small way too. These things don't happen overnight as they need to be proof read, re-organised, verified, back and forth and so on. And remember we are all volunteers with life to contend with too.

But we do hear you and we do respond...........Mentors was tried before with only limited success, if I am honest, I don't see it catching on again. It can become too much for a mentor when he/she gets a very needy person. Then some will argue the point of basic advice and it can all get very nasty. Some worked out great. But I don't see a queue of staff willing to become mentors again. Sorry guys.

Get a journal going, make it interesting, lots of pictures, (without the LED lights on!!!) and tag some chums, and you will get a vibrant journal with lots if help and advice. That is what I recommend.

@Mcdee , do a search for lst, I am sure there are tons of articles on this subject...........

And whatever you do, never ask a penguin. They are known to be full of sh%t, and give duff info.

NO, you misunderstood me. I know how to lst, but some don't. That's why if we had a video section, or links to videos section it would save people a lot of time. There is some stuff I haven't been able to find, so sure others are having similar problems too.

Thats the type of things I would be doing in videos..instructional videos on different techniques. "If" rec growing becomes legal here I will do a whole series.
