Indoor air cooled hoods vs regular cool tube.

hey guys i recently got rid of my standard 400w hps cool tube light and purchased one of these..

i know its still a 400w but i thought the hood might give the plants a lil more light than my previos one with a small reflector

is there any pros to having the air cooled hood rather than the tube with a small reflector or did i just waste my money? :no:

it looks like. or i would think that new reflector you got would do a little better.

i use cool tubes with a 600 or 400 watt digital ballast. they work great for my grow space but if i ever got a tent i think id rather have one of those bigger reflectors.

how much was it.

i like em a lot the oversized hoods keep a lot of the heat off of the canopy. u can put em closer to. then u have the option of using the heat with forced air during the winter months or expelling out ur ventilation system. i am digging these Adjust-A-Wings @ the moment though. these things R HUGE!!!
I would have to say that ur gonna like ur new investment though. does it have hinged glass? if so even better. it makes it a ton easier to clean, change bulbs, etc... 1 man jobs r way easier by ur-self than a 2 man job, u feel me
