There have been some very different approaches to this grow from the last grow but the plants have exhibited strikingly similar effects. Last time I may have overfed. The soil ph was way low (maybe barely 5). The diagnoses ran the gamut. This time I watered carefully and locally to the seedlings, used Sunshine #4 instead of Fox Farm, and fed very lightly the idea being I could step it up when the plant called for it. The #4 soil has scant nutrients but the plants were green and I gave nothing extra till day 18 when they got 1/8 dose Grown Big and Big Bloom then day 24 when they got 1/4 dose. Next feeding was day 37, 1/4 dose with some calmag then at day 47 a 1/4 dose. All water in has been 6.3-6.5 and soil ph measures 6.4. Regardless, check the photos. Image 307 was from the previous grow. The rest are current. The brown spotting is so similar as to defy ph/ excess/deficiency issues, I think. I suspect there's some other equal piece to the grows. The brown spotting is identical. Any help?

Image 307 and 783 are the same strain (White Dwarf) and are the harder hit. 779 and 780 is a Betty Boo plant which has been affected but is more resilient.

give plain water between feedings ?

It can get very tedious rehashing a whole grow. I don't think there's anything suspicious about the waterings. They were ph correct and looks like this:
June 2: 4 cups each
June 6: 3 cups each
June 11: 5 cups each
June 17: fed 1/8 dose
June 23:fed 1/4 dose
June 29: water
July 3: water
July 6: fed 1/4 dose
July 11: watered
July 16: fed 1/4 dose
July 20: watered with molasses and 1 tsp Calimagic.

It does look like your having similar issues... do you happen to know the ppm of your water source?

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post here or not... But are the plants with issues in the same pots as your last grow were in. I had the same issues a while back and the only plants affected were in plastic pots. Just asking and sorry if I wasn't supposed to post here. Good luck

I didn't want to prompt anyone, but I have my eye on my well water source.

Out of the tap the water is a sterling 125 ppm. The ph is not anything crazy. And it smells and tastes great. But to quote a more experienced grower: Measuring parts per million in water doesn't give you any information unless you know what the ingredients are in those parts per million. Just aiming for 125 or 150 ppm doesn't make any sense unless you know what the PPM is comprised of. PPM could be anything. It is just a measurement of total dissolved solids (TDS) in the water.

They suggested remedying that but I used it for weeks till switching to bottled spring water with a touch of added calmag.

Last grow I may have overfed and had ph issues (the soil ph was sub 4 till adding dolomite lime and flushing). But this time I may have underfed and have soil ph 6.4 and used different soil and had it till recently outside a tent in open well ventilated space. That the same symptoms are manifest is queer.

I welcome your input. The pot! Never thought of that one. I actually bought Smart pots but forgot to use them. Next time I will for sure. I've only used those 3 gallon black plastic pots. How were yours affected?

Basically same as yours. Yellow burnt leaves. I'll try to find some pics

Turtle-- nothing new to add here that wasn't offered at the LHT,... that former grow pic is classic P defc. caused by lockout, due to the overly acidic soil,..check the graph,...much under 6.0, it starts to shut down fast!
index.php

.... the others are multiple defc. as discussed at LHT... S, N, P, caused by under feeding.... the well water is just fine, as you know from your other plants,...Red was asking about ppm's for purposes of knowing the hardness of the water; too high or low can lead to buffering and pH issues, even toxicity from calcium salts building up if it was very hard water,... the quote is true, yes, TDS includes any ionic component, but it's assumed folks are using potable water to grow,...

Regarding underfeeding, I supposed the plant, deficient, would rebound when fed, according to general wisdom. I'm taken by surprise how reluctant the plants are.
