hey everyone, in the middle of my first grow.. skywalker by Mephisto.. I’m at day 36 here the plants been flowering for a week and a day it had preflowers for 4 days before too..

Right now I’m keeping it very simple with the Lucas formula - AN cal mag xtra and Flora Nova Bloom. Just wondering when you guys tend to start Overdrive and if the benefits are worth it.

I use it 1 week before harvest for 2 weeks. So if I know my strain is done is 9weeks time. Ill start on week 7 use it week 8 then flush on week 9.

Hey kid,

as it's written on the AN overdrive bottle it's to be used in the last 2 weeks of bloom before flush, depending the strain you grow and the lifetime/performance of the plant, i personally use the AN line and smash in overdrive after Big Bud, when it shows first signs of the end of flower! Reading the plants performance is the key, you got a thread running with the skywalker? Tag me in and i'll follow along to harvest, bro!

To me, OverDrive is just a P-K supplement, presumably a more potent one than Big Bud. It's good stuff and I use it as my main P-K booster, starting when I switch to bloom nutes to the very end. I see no need to restrict it to the last few weeks. I recall TaNg remarking that he was using OverDrive starting at day 50 (so a 90-plant would be on OverDrive for near 40 days, not just 2 weeks). Can anyone tell me actual reasons for this 2 weeks at end only?

Once in bloom, I feed OverDrive at about 2.5 mL/L, plus add about 1 mL/L of Big Bud (to use it up, or otherwise I'd add 3 mL/L OverDrive). When I've given the plants less P-K supplementation, I see signs of P/K deficiencies (but others would probably warn against such doses). I don't see any signs of P/K toxicity. This simple regimen using seemingly the best tool for the task (P-K supplementation) works for me.

Also, I recall talking with an AN help line rep, and he agreed that with autoflowering strains it's probably best to go directly to OverDrive, that Big Bud may not provide the optimal potency. [But AFN has the real autoflower experts].
