I've got an Apollo HPS/MH ballast and am very impressed with their products. I was wondering if anyone has tried out their LEDs yet?? If you didnt even know they made LEDs (like me until today) then here is a amazon link.

Would these be viable for a grow? I need to reduce the heat in my room during these summer months and figured this would be a good alternative. Thanks!

Yes I have the 400 watt full spectrum and really impressed with it so far I am on day 34 and things are looking good not much heat off it my fan is keeping my small tent under 82 most of the time has two quiet built in fans on the light.

My three plants are doing great so far and plan to get another here soon.

Mine is running 24-7 and never shut off yet.

No switches on it a all just plug it in and go.

I have a UFO 180 its a solid light. I'd look into their COB series they are supposed to be excellent.

I have the 135W UFO and the 180W UFO and am about to get the 288W Reflector Series (96x3)....low_baller (Amazon) is basically offering the TopLED line, painted black and rebranded. He's been a good guy to deal with. So for vanity's sake (so they'll all match in black) and so I have someone local to deal with for any issues that may arise....I'll spend the extra $30 to get it from him.

I grew a gram per watt on my first grow with the 135W (90W actual) UFO and it worked flawlessly for me.

A fair amount of people having success with the Mars II with 5W chips offered by the same folks (TopLED and Apollo Horticulture)

They are perfect for bringing down heat....don't forget a regular regimen of Cal/Mag when running LED's, for some reason the LEDs
accelerate Cal/Mag uptake like nobody's business.

Trapper how long have you been using the 135watt for?
What was your light schedule with the 135 wat?

exactly one grow...about 85 days... first half of the grow 24/0 second half of the grow 21/3 (some weird fluctuations in the middle for a week or so trying something else out)

Generally, that was the bulk of my light schedule.

It wasn't enough light and the plant could have benefitted from more, but I limped it along pretty good. Small, cramped cab and mylar really helped stretch that 135W
to its full potential. :)

Thanks for all the info guys!! I have my room it's about 3 1/2x6 ft. I don't use it all but I have a 600 hps in there now. Is there any way to determine what size light I would need. I assume 2 at least. I'm really interested in the ones I linked. I have a 90w led I bought offline with some issue that I fixed and I'm really impressed with the light output from it. Is there a led watt to hps/mh watt equivalent chart anywhere? Thanks for the help so far!!

Hard to say the equivalent, I know an AT600 just kicked a 1000w hps ass for cost per g! You could always consider a pair of 400w panels which would give you 400w true output and with your UFO should just about equal your 600w hps for growing ability.
Worth considering a mainly reds cob flowering unit as I personally don't feel "standard" led panels have quite enough for flowering but I'm a noob so I'm probably just overthinking it all!

Just so everyone knows, Apollo's COB leds are nothing but rebranded Houyis. Order from China and get em for far less:

While that may or may not be true, the Apollo's have custom casings, are shipped inside the US and have a warranty.

There are no prices on that link you gave and I can't find the same spec lights on their ali express page so how can we compare prices/warranties?
