ive purchased the mars hydro 300 only to find out right after I ordered it, that it was an older style led...anybody ever grew with them???or have links to some grows with them???ive looked all over google, youtube, and a few forums, only to get nowhere...first time grower and I really want a good yield...if these lights suck I will be upgrading to mars 2 probably 400 watt...thanks in advanced for any answers...

lol mars 300w old style is awesome. Many people on this forum have them including me. I liked mine so much I bought a 2nd one. I'm still a noob grower with only a few grows under my belt but I've gotten nice results with these lights.

My two old model 300ws are on their 4th grow. I would give them a chance before I spent any more money. Goo Luck and good growing.

I just read your whole journal...good luck on the rest of your grow...problems scare me, but I guess its time to man up...I only have one mars 300, but I plan on running couple photos too...so my mars 300 will be along side a 4' 4 bulb t5 in a 2x4 veg tent set to 20/4....
I had one for a small cab, did amazing, expanded to a bigger cab so bought another, and together they lit up my second cab amazingly, expanded to a bigger tent, and both of them will run alongside a 92x3 Mars reflector. They give me great results, and are good lights. You just can't expect to use one light for say a big 4x4 tent. How much space are you going to light up?

One three hundred watter will grow you one huge plant but two on a angle will produce outstanding results upwards to a pound with some genetics

I used 4 in a 5x5 with 10 plants and Produced some great Buds with a nice Yield. I wouldnt worry about the light anything from MarsHydro will Perform.
