Attempting tlo coco recipe.

Hey dudes, just bought 350$ worth of some organic ingredients. I am super pumped about this, I've been wanting to try organics forever, and now its time to give it a go. If I can get a stable soil going there will be no end to the amount of plants I have going at one time and I can convert my whole shed to one big grow room lol.

Eyes you've been tremendous help my friend, thank you a bunch. If I may, a few more beginner questions (I have TLO, and teaming with microbes, books on the way so I'm being impatient here forgive me).

Is a 1 month cook time enough to start potting plants in the mixture?

How long can the soil "cook" before its either too hot, or no good?

I plan on trying to start some seedlings in a soil/tlo mixture, I was thinking since the tlo mixture is to hot for seedlings, could I cut it pretty hard (say 80 organic soil / 20 tlo) and be able to start seeds with water only?

And last question- when I run coco I use small pots (1gal), my question is, does a small pot work well with TLO? Would a 3 month old plant in a 1 gal pot be able to sustain itself on just water and the occasional tea, or dressing? Or is it just better to have a bigger pot so the roots have more than they need to keep on keepin on?

Oh and by the way, I think I've decided to try and use a 50/50 coco/tlo mix for my first try.

yeah man,I had no idea you had gotten your stuff man.LOL ya shoulda PM'd me er something but yeah dude a 50 to 60% coco mix is gonna be awesome.and all sounds great even with the seedling starter mix too.Ive started seeds in my hotter soil and have nad no issues but I know my own soil so sounds like a good plant to start with too man.but with the smaller pots you'll want atleast 3-5 gallon imo 3-4 is probably fine though.but smaller pots with the oolder plants will eat and push them nutes out a lot.is doable in a small pot but its time consuming as well as a lot of trouble cuz youll be brewing and/or soaking your root bound completely solid block of roots every day i can promise ya that.and even a drip system wont be abe to keep up well.unless you plan on turning on the faucet almost literally and I personally hate to see a watse of water like that since its entirely not needed for beautiful cannabis man.so anywho Im glad ive been hlepful and even more stoked to see more ppl going true organics.or living organics as i call it.true is a product buy living is sustainable and recyclable which promotes life, true organics is a coined term for a sellers market.well thats my opinion anywho lmfao be good dude and good luck OH damnit almost forgot lmfao go figure , a stoned stoner move.but i personally would recommend no less than a 40+ day cook after the first mixing after the first week of it sitting.sits for a week, another good mix aside from the initial mixing of the components n things a week later then let it sit for 40 days.thats what ive found works the best.30 days after the initail mix it doable..ive done it but it can cause issues especially if you use slower releasing type of things.or even granular which many use cuz its great but takes that extra week to work best imo. later brother, an be good :Hookah: :Sharing One:

So far so good jay! I've ammended once with a few things, and tomorrow I should have 1 more ammendment to fix a couple things I've found wrong. I've done test plants to see how it would go and now I'm starting on my first autos. Got an auto assassin thread going in the short stuff section, and I'm fixin to start a blueberry auto thread in dp section! Really loving this growing man, its so nice!

Thanks my friend. I had some mag problems with my first test plant. Also found a nice mixture is 50/50 tlo/black gold organic soul. I start seeds right in the mixture and no burns. Just noticed a slight burn on 1 auto after 3 weeks. now the only test is to see how long the soil will last, I think it will do great for autos.

Nice man I'm getting on it too gonna use lady bug brand soil for the base with coco half and half. Supposed to be good soil from Austin. Going tlo the next run gotta see what's up. I'm just gonna keep it like that tho.. enough nutes to last a couple of weeks then the rest recirculating runoff and brewing teas.
I'll go check ur new thresds out! :smokeout:

I'll have to say bro, going straight organic is the way to go. No turning back for me lol. Coco was a breeze, but TLO puts coco under the table when it comes to ease of use and health of plants. And not to mention I dont have to cater a different nutrient schedule to each plant, so now growing multiple strains is a breeze! So many more benefits I could name, but I'll say that it does not have the explosive growth coco has, and maybe not the excitement. But for me its all about the lifestyle now, the connection with my green girls has never been better! You ever need any help let me know, I wouldnt have made it without the help of the people here!

I'll definitely need ur help lol I want to go organic but I need large yields with out using too much light. That's why when I heard bout dripping in coco n the results I got I don't want to lose it!

I was reading yesterday about people who grow in coco and only feed organic teas. u keep the airyness and only organic feed. Might try that this round since I wouldn't have to do anything but brew.

Hey man, this is an interesting conclusion to which you arrived. I like the benefits you've described, have been thinking about trying more organic style growing and it's cool to read from experienced growers like you who are reporting so favorably on it. Thanks for sharing your experience with it.
