Hey all well made my first newbie mistake I have been misreading the ppm meter I did not notice that it flashed x10 and so thought everything was fine but my plants are actually not eating anywhere near what I thought they were so I have had to hold the feed on 2 plants for just now, it seems 2 out 4 have coped and 2 haven't so here is what I have done wrong:

PPM meter readings for my 4 plants

after adding 1.5L water 84 PPM with Nutrients is 702 PPM

Plant 1 :- 932 PPM / 1.39 EC this one is fine as it is using some of the nutrients
Plant 2 :- 1920 PPM / 2.74 EC Woops!! I thought this was 192PPM
Plant 3 :- 1060 PPM / 1.51 EC Good bang on with this one but I thought it was 106 so assumed needed more feed lol
Plant 4 :- 1670 PPM / 2.39 EC Woops !! I thought this was 167PPM

I was justy wondering what I should do to get these reading down on the feed I gave them before these readings had

4.0 ml Coco A
4.0 ml Coco B
0.5 ml Rhizotonic
2.5 ml Cannazym
2.0 ml Boost

I was planning to cut out the rhizotonic altogether as it does raise the PH anyway and then lowering everything else by 0.5 ml until we hit a happy run off

3.5 ml Coco A
3.5 ml Coco B
2.0 ml Cannazym
1.5 ml Boost

Would this be ok ? or am I better just flushing with two feeds of just water and also if I should just use water should it be ph adjusted to between 5.5 and 6.2 ?

Any help would be great

Peace Out

Heres Just a quick update as to how the plants doing had a bit of a problem with high nutrient levels and I think this was due to a build up of salts so I have been flushing the plants with 3L of normal tap water dechloronised and today I fed them water with a ph of 6 - 6.2 to try and get the plants ready for a gooud budding feed and I will update what the schedule of nutrients I am going to be using.

Peace Out

All seems to be going well, Finally I have managed to get everything just right and I hope I can now leave the room alone now until the end and just concentrate on training the plants into space available and get on top of the nutrients so as not to overfeed them at this stage as I do have in my mind what Zip said "easy easy catch the monkey" and so I want to get it just right and get the most I can without overdoing it and ruining all my hard work.

Today I finally got round to removing the extractor fan from inside the grow room to move it outside which I must say I have been absolutely dreading and for good reason, It took me two hour's with 1 and sometimes 2 6oow bulbs in my face with no extraction fan on, all I can say is make sure you get it right first time so you never have to go through that lol.

I almost did a "chewin the fat" on my whole grow room and plants today lol, But that would have been a complete waste of all my hard work and effort so manage to control myself, but my tempers were severely fraying lol.

In the end what I have managed to do is change my exhaust fan from a "vents inline 125 50 W exhaust fan" which I have replaced with a commercial "Vents RVK 100 80W" as I think my intake was more powerful than my outtake so at least now they will be at least equal.

The fan is now placed on the outside of the room and the carbon filter is still on the inside the fan is exhausting straight out through the roof to the outside and the total length of the exhaust is now less than a metre with no bends kinks etc. to restrict the airflow therefor hopefully resulting in maximum heat exhaustion. The Fan is hanging directly between the outside of the grow room wall and the roof. I have attached a dimmer to the intake fan so will be able to adjust this and get the temp and negative pressure just right.

With removing the fan and moving the lights and changing the Carbon filter which I changed from my 6" fat filter to my 6" Long slim one this has allowed me to raise the lights as high as they will go, The setup is now 600W light then just above the shade is the filter in the middle reaching all the way to the other 600W light I hope this will give the best light distribution and hopefully catch as much heat as possible.

Fedding Schedule

Coco B - 5.0
Rhizotonic - 0.8
Cannazym - 3.8

I have just started to decrease the nutrients slightly as was getting a high run off reading but I think basically I have just been flushing my nutrients out every time I was feeding them then adding non ph water to get a run off have only started doing this last couple of days so will be easy fix I hope lol.

I am starting to try and training some of the higher buds down as one has burnt quite badly which I am disappointed about, I assume this is because it has been touching or very close to the hot reflector as not been near bulbs made sure of that lol but is only the one and lesson learned there lol. Some of the others are burning slightly on edges of leaves which I think is purely down to being to close to the light and not nutrients as nowhere else on plants.

My problem is though I cant raise lights at all anymore they are at there maximum height lol and definitely no more room for anymore fans lol so tying them down is only route left was hoping not to have to do too much of this as already a pain to get in and water but never mind, it will be like a scene out of Mission Impossible a laser field of garden wire and I am definitely not the small and agile build needed for this sort of contortion so I can just to water them so some sort of auto feeder is in order well I should say semi auto as I will control it till I see some run off and attach my EC and PH pen to a stick lol long reach that may actually work better and more accurately than me feeding by hand I may just give this a go that started off as a joke lol

Just when was reading your thread sure you I remember you saying you were using it already but I may have been mistaken, I was going to start giving them it next week for the week then just back off week at a time on all the nutrients getting them ready for flushing. Any advice on when to start putting PK in or if I should have already be great help I will take some good bud photos tonight and post them to let you see what stage they are at.

Nice Plants.. Subscribed.. I currently have 1 DinaFem Blue Cheese and 3 Dutch Passion Think Different @ 3 days from seed. (3rd Grow)

Hey all been having problems with my virgin media internet so have just managed to get back online through my iphone what a bit of technology that is didn't realise I didn't even need an internet provider with one of them I just plug it into the computer and that is now my router through 3g fine for getting on here on the laptop rather than the phone it has been over 5 days since last update so this be quite an update.

Well I am approaching week 7 and preparing my girls for there pk13/14 treat. The flowers on these plants have come on unbelievably, I did have a slight accident and two of my colas burned the nodes to a crisp on the very tip but to my utter surprise these plants have just kept budding uncontrollably and grown over the top of the burnt bits making it a green cola once again even when I thought that would be the cola stunted they just keep pushing forward.

I cannot fault these plants whatsoever I don't know if it is The Coco, The Strain or The nutrients which are responsible for there growth or all 3 together making the perfect conditions for it, but whatever it is they have done exceedingly good in budding so far and I only expect this to continue over the next couple of weeks I cannot wait to get a final weight just to see what these babies can produce and with a little more control and care what the difference in yield would be compared to this one which was grown by a total noob who has overfed them a few times, burnt them, stretched them probably made every noob mistake in the book at least once lol which I did expect on the first grow but will not be happy if don't learn my lessons quick as most of it is just common sense and just knowing from the look of your plant if something not right before confirming it with the tests which I find great way of teaching me the signs of certain deficiencies or overfeeding. Even with all these mistakes etc it has hardly even affected them and any leaf burn or drooping etc has quickly reversed and through no real help of mine just a very strong strain I think. I would recommend this strain 100% and the real proof will be in the smoke and will help make my decision a lot easier as to whether I will concentrate on perfecting this or try something new.
