Grow Mediums Auto Blueberry Dutch Passion 5 Gallon DWC

Let me start off by saying, my little girl is alright. Yesterday I was forced to pack up everything I own, and relocate. She survived the move, and it didn't seem to bother her. However currently I am in a new space that is not nearly as clean as I would like even though I scrubbed some of the walls. To make matters worse. My location is temporary, and will have to move her again in a month or so. Drama sucks haha. But I really need help coming up with a way to transport her again when she gets a little bit bigger. I was thinking of making some sort of box with reflectix lining it, and just making sure it's taller than the bucket. I really don't want to have to scrap her, and start over again. I really need some help..... Drama drama drama.

I placed her in the bucket yesterday. I decided for my next attempt I will just germinate in the bucket. I am about to start watering the plant with the nutrients instead of the rapid root, and silica. My nutrient line up is the gh micro, grow, bloow, rapid root, and floralicious plus. I also have Dutch master silica, and optical foliar overgrow spray that I plan to use twice a week. My current set up is kinda difficult to manage, but I'll try and have pictures up tonight tomorrow. My little girl has a slight yellowing on one of the leaves, but I think it's because I just started using the nutrients, and it may have been a little hungry.

Hey sorry to hear about your troubles. And all the moves. Moving plants is always a pain. Pictures would really help us tell how you are doing. Anywho good luck with the rest of the grow sending some :karma Cloud: your way to help out. :peace:

Thank you haha. Uhm I actually just took a picture. The tip of a leaf has yellowed just a little bit.

Hi B n B... Bro she looks a little too yellow to me.... Shoot me some numbers.... Whats your pH at and how stable has it been?????...
Also how much feed did you give them and was they as yellow before you did it?????... As a rule you dont normally give them Nutes until you see the second Leaf set... I only see the first....

Another question... Your DWC Correct how often do you top water them and are your roots in deep water yet?????... Lets see if we can get this baby flying.....:smokebuds:

Well see the thing is I didn't start adding the nutrients till yesterday, and the leaf had already yellowed a good bit. The water I am using to feed it currently is about 5.7. The root system is currently not into the bucket yet so I am watering by hand until the roots could reach the res. I had been using some silica, and rapid root water however prior to the nutrient water I am using now. Would it be better to just feed her regular ph water? Could that have been the problem? My ph on my older water was around 5.9.

I figured the silica, and rapid root might be helpful while it sprouted. However that could have been a really bad idea on the flip side. How often would you say I should top the water off every other day or a little bit more? Thanks dude I really appreciate the help. I really want to get the hang of this.

Bro IMO its the Silca and Root juice thats making her a bit Yellow.... If you i would continue to top water her with pH-ed water for now... Its not the rapid root that will make them hit deep water its the action of pouring water over her that leads the roots to deep water.... Have you looked into Bubbleponics??? pretty much the same as DWC but with an added water pump.... Idea is that it has a steady drip thus helping them to find water faster..

Also on the subject of Hand watering.... Bro you cant over do it... more you do it quicker they hang down... Tell you what i did/do... When using buckets at least 4 times a day i would lift the lid grab a pot of water and pour it around them( i know growers who do this EVERY hour).... You wont believe how quick they move when the roots are in water. This form of Hydro growing has to be the slowest way there is for starting a new grow..... :smokebuds:

Alright well that helped haha. I'll get just water to the correct ph and I'll start watering thanks.

I looked into it a little bit just now haha. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand bubbleponics is a similar concept to a drip ring?

Hmm well seeing as I have nothing, but free time I don't see why I can't water around the roots every few hours.

Yes Sir thats correct it is similar to the drip ring in that hey both do the same thing..... But as you have free time you can be the drip ring...lol... :High 5:

haha well thank you for clearing that up for me. I went ahead, and started using water whose ph is at 5.9. I figure I'm going to water it every five hours except during the night while I'm sleeping. Originally I planned on using my drip ring, but couldn't figure out how to get it to fit in this bucket without breaking part of the net. I figured it would be easier to water because I didn't know if that may cause some sort of complication later down the line.
