Hi everyone! I've been a lurker around here on AFN for awhile now and I've decided that I'd like to share my first auto flower grow with you all!

I planted an Afghan Kush Ryder probably 40 days ago (seed). The AKR is extremely small for her age in my opinion, I've been checking PH run off (6.2-6.8) and have been using CANNA nutrients. She stands at about 20cm and looks extremely healthy excluding her tiny stature. Should I expect much more growth from her?

This is my Auto Blueberry - is she too small for 10 days old? if you look closely the newest set of leaves seem to be purple? Is this a rare Phenotype or perhaps a nutrient deficiency?

Anyway thanks to anyone that has a look in and gives me some advice!

Edit - Just forgot to mention I'm using a 140w LED grow light from novagrowlights.com, a 21x Penetrator Extreme from Hydrogrowled and 2 40 watt CFL's as side lighting.

Nice that you've come out of lurking and are sharing the passion with us!
The AKR looks good. There might still be some stretch in her, but that's just a guess. What kind of lights are you using? Have you considered raising the lights a little to make her reach for them?
The little one looks like it has some yellow tips on the leaves. What kind of soil is that and what's in it? Careful with the nutes! Just water for the first two or three weeks.
You posted your thread in the right section- lots of helpful people here!
Happy Growing! :smokebuds:

First off welcome and your name cracks me up bro! That's awesome! Well you might be a tad behind but not much though, not enough to be worried about! Go check out my first 2 weeks of my current grow! Mine were small for their age! Mine didnt look like that til day 14! You got some good lighting on them, your ph is good.
Your AKR looks good! Nice bud site. Pistols are nice and long bro! I'd say just roll one up and hit up real good for the guerrilla and watch the grass grow dude! your looking good for now!

What size pots are you using? Did you transplant? Overall the AKR looks good you should still have some more vertical growth before she switches to flower focus. Make sure you dont stop veg nutes until you see vertical growth stop. The blueberry from what i can see is also fine and appears right on track for just day 10, expect it to really start to take off soon. Best of luck and welcome to AFN!

Hahaha thanks for the quick replies guys! Highly appreciated! Lurking wasn't fun anymore, I wanted to share and get some tips!

Yeah, I've raised my lights up a fair bit to induce some stretching but it hasn't worked in the slightest! Are there phenotypes in AKR that are destined to be wee lil bubbas? - Forgot to mention she is in an air pot. She looks like shes going to yield an 1/8th at the moment hahahaha.. depressing. I'll post another picture of her in a weeks time.

I haven't given the Auto BB any nutes so far, the soil mix is just a cheap one I picked up from my local hardware store, I've added in 30% perlite to the mix for better drainage. I've heard the Auto BB are very sensitive to nutrients so that's why I've avoided giving her ANYTHING... Should I flush her with PH'd water just in case there are too many nutrients added into the soil?

Thanks again for putting forth your knowledge guys!

Oh and sorry I forgot to mention the size of the pots.

Blueberry is in a 2.5gal pot and the AKR is in a 5gal Air Pot.

Autos in general are very sensitive due to there limited time schedule therefore any mistakes early on will result in a stunted small plant. No doubt the AKR is stunted nothing you can do about it. I wouldn't raise the lights i would keep them as close as possible just watch your temps, the Auto BB is showing minor signs of nute burn it seems and the cheap soil is the culprit i wouldn't flush her at the risk of over-watering and stunting her, if you don't have access to a good soil (promix, FFOF, etc) then i would suggest in the future using a seed mix with little or no nutrients so you don't run into any problems with nute burn. What are your temps like? Growing is a learning experience and you only get better learning from past mistakes. My frist ever auto grow was a AKR in just a 1 gallon pot under poor lighting and i only pulled 14 grams dry.

Okay advice noted, next time I'll use a coco / perlite mix. I was thinking of a DWC next time, I have some Auto Mazar seeds that I'd like to give a red hot go.

The temperatures in my room are pretty constant at about 21-24 degrees Celsius. I have learnt a lot growing my AKR, the BB seemed to be a silly second choice as it is a little more finicky.. I really wanted to try some of her finished produce though :D I think my AKR's stunted-ness is due to a fungus gnat infestation I had early on.

I had a much larger grow happening (12 plants, 4 Hindu Kush - 4 Tahoe OG Kush and 3 THC Bombs and my AKR) but was downsized due to the unforseen detection of my stealth grow by parties that shall remain unnamed D:. I got the fungus gnat infestation under control after about two weeks with Pyrethrum and Sticky Traps but the soil was full of larva, I put a small layer of diatomaceous earth that seemed to shred every adult that matured...

P.s for anyone interested, this is my BB day 11 - she seems to have had a little more growth and in this photo you can see those little purple leaves I mentionedIMG_0653.jpg

Sounds like you'll get right soon! Yea cheap soil always messes up shit! Lol I lost so many plants about 10 years ago! Literally had grown like 20 and none survived! But then my buddy let me buy a mother and I cloned her and all the clones dies cause I used the same soil! I bout quit the art of marijuana! Hahaha. My plants were slower than yours so don't fear you'll get right soon!
As far a auto bb goes. The tips look burnt and could be changing color some. Blueberry is very sensitive as far as nutes goes and don't like get over or under watered! The difficulty is a little be higher with this strain but it is well worth the trouble!

The AKR doesn't yield very high as far as meters/*2. But I have seen some one here yield very well. All depends on environment

Ok bro! If your growing in coco you need a ph around 5.5 to 5.8 (5.8 is perfect) you need to treat it as a hydro grow. And also what kind of light do you have on them now? For fungus gnats you should put about an inch or so of perlite on top of your coco!! It will kill and prevent them to come back!! Checkout my grow in coco. I have auto mazar and auto amnesia ,auto northern lights + big bud ,auto narcotic kush all in coco this way!
