Outdoor Auto jack greenhouse grow.

Approx 1 week in now. I must admit I'm a little dissapointed by the lack of growth for a week old. I'm hoping its going to pickup soon or it will not be a very big plant. Mind you we have had a couple of very crap days where it has been raining ect... So this might be effecting the growth.
I'm thinking of germing another one and putting it in the same pot. What do you recon?

Morning, depends on your pot size I guess. If you are putting them a couple feet apart (in a giant pot) then maybe? I would assume if you used something too small the roots would fight each other and it would result in a smaller plant or not as healthy. Just my novice 2cents. Also someone told me we should expect about 90 days total for our Jack dominant strains. I was thinking only 60ish but mine are getting bigger buds everyday.

I will leave this in its pot alone (its in a 20l pot. I have just put another one in to germ and will be putting that in a seperate pot. I will use colodial silver on whichever is the smallest to make some fem seeds for next years grow.

Hey, Twofoot!

Welcome to the forum!

As a newbie grower myself, one of the first things I did was stunt my plants in soil that was too "hot" meaning too many nutrients for a seedling. Your plant is only a week old so don't be discouraged - I felt exactly the same way! I see all these beautiful grows all over the forum and wonder why mine seems "less than."... lol In my case, they were REALLY slow to get started, but they finally got with the program, and I'm sure yours will too!

Next time, or your next seed, you might try planting in plain potting soil until it gets established. I tried to put some potting soil in the middle of my pots that were filled with "hot" soil when I transplanted the babies. If I were going to do it again I'd probably just plant the sprouted seed right in the area of potting soil in the larger pot - hope that makes sense!

I'm a little dissapointed in the growth with this as im comparing it to other autos i have grown in the past.
i'm not going to use nutes on it until it gets well into its flowering stage and then only organic nutes. I will use biobiz bloom and mollasses. One thing I have learned over the years I have been growing is that autos REALLY don't seem to like a lot of nutes. Tbh I mainly grow photos indoors and just dabble with autos for the summer months for outdoor grows. I normally do between 4-10 guerrilla grows each year, but I have hit a stumbling block this year as the site I normally use has been cleared for a housing estate.
So I have set up a 70w hps pc growbox which I will use to do a perpetual grow with in the winter. Which is why I'm going to do a seed run with these plants.

To me it looks like the medium is extremely overwatered. That plus de added pressure could very well be stunting it. It also seems you're not using additives (biobizz bio heaven) nor root stims (root juice).
These kick the roots into growth and helps in stress situation (if it is overwatering). But, the plant only starts going up when it "stops" going down. It could also mean it has bee going way down searching for food and water, but I seriously doubt it as your medium seems excessively moist. I would just water handsomely in a radium of twice the diameter of the leaves. You seem to have it all saturated. Let it dry out! Like seriously dry out. I wouldnt water that pot for a 4 - 5 days at least.

Thanks for your input. I won't rewater untill the soil is quite dry. It probably is quite wet as I watered it well when I put the seedling into it. I allways water the entire pot as I have found (much to my dismay ) that if you only water just where the seedling is then the surrounding soil can suck up all of the water you have just put in.

And as you so rightly point out. I don't use additives when planting. I just like to keep things nice and simple.

I know you're not giving nutes now, but I was talking about "hot" soil - soil that has nutes in it...

JOHN INNES POTTING COMPOST No.1 - for pricking out or potting-up young seedlings or rooted cuttings. This composts has a carefully balanced nutrient content to suit most young plants.
JOHN INNES POTTING COMPOST No.2 - for general potting of most house plants and vegetable plants into medium size pots or boxes. Contains double the amount of nutrient in JI No 1 to suit established plants.

I think you said you used compost #2 in an earlier post - that's what I was talking about. It might be a little too "hot" for seedlings.

I'm also mainly a photo grower and this is my first foray into autos. I'm strictly outdoor (so far anyway) so I only get 1 "season" to play with each year... Has been frustrating in the past but I'm getting the hang of it now! I'm in a legal medical state, and I am growing our limit in autos which will finish before the photos start to flower... My way of trying to get two grows in during the summer, LOL

Good luck with your perpetual grow - I've always wanted to do that!

Yeah I'm using #2. Never had a problem before but these might be a bit sensitive. I'm looking forward to my perpetual grow. It won't yield a lot but it will be fun. I normally just do my outdoor grows in the summer and a couple of indoor grows and it normally see me through without having to buy any street weed.
I'm going to doing some godberry photo guerrilla grows this summer as they are supposed to be early finishers. But as this is an auto forum I can't really do a post about that grow.
