hello to everyone at AFN.
Im just about to start my 3rd grow and its a purple cheese and i have been doing some research and i have found lots of purple cheese grow journals but none of them turned purple !!! Does any one know why ??? Have you grown a purple cheese and did it go purple, PLEASE let me know THANKS AFN. :Sharing One:

Hello!

May I ask how far are you in with the grow with the Purple Cheese? Depending on how "pure" the genetics are, they could start showing during the end of vegetative, or during mid to late flowering times. Or it could even be possible that they do not even show any purple at all.

After reading some of the AutoFamily's reviews of the strains they have grown, as well as on random posts in growing threads. It seems a lot of plants can turn purple or different colours if they are usually left in cooler or colder temperatures than what is recommended.

I may be wrong, or maybe even partially correct. Please correct me if I am wrong.

P.S: I have not grown Purple Cheese, this is just from doing a lot of reading on many different forums and websites.

Its just gone in the soil this morning, so not even day one yet but it is going to be a bit cooler in there than i will like so fingers crossed for some purple thank for the advice Ducky :smoke:

You're Welcome.

Just make sure to keep it at or around that temperature. You don't want it fluctuating TOO much now, or some sort of other problem might occur (i.e. become hermy, male, grow slowly, or might not grow at all).

Just make sure to keep an eye on her, and give her the TLC she needs.

Don't worrier mate i ALL WAYS give my girl 200% and i have just got my hands on a Mars II 400w led light and i'm having a bit of a problem with heat THERE IS NOT ENOUGH HEAT (never through i would be saying this lol) my temps are between 21c - 24c so it should be ok then :smoke:

Purple cheese is not a 100% purple plants. I must say sweet seeds do a awesome job making sure all their "red family" turns purple. Purple cheese is purple#1 x blue cheese x auto#1 out of the three parents only 1 is a pure purple strains which will give u a low ratio of purple plants. I think its upsetting to some people when they see a purple picture and end up with a green one. Its all genetic u may get lucky and end up with a purple plant but just know its very low chance. It'd be much higher if they took a purple cheese that turned purple and back crossed it with purple#1

Thanks IDS i sort of understood it all from the 1 out of 3 being purple but i just didn't realize it was so hit or miss thanks for the help IDS & ducky here is some rep to you both :slap:

Even if your plant does not turn purple, then make sure it grows up to be a damn good smokin' plant. One that nobody can refuse! lol...

i did a purple cheese a few months ago, was only purple in the leaf tips and a little in the bud, but mostly green. was under 300 watt cfl 24/0 with organic nutes. i did a purple kush though and that was completely purple and finished way quicker than purple cheese, was strong to lol give that a go if you get the chance
