In my tent space I prefer to grow 6 plants. And I have 6 autocob 3500K. And will be adding 2 more of them. For the most part I have been using one autcocob per plant, directly over the center of the plant. But with an additional 2 more to use I have some options. I have 8 autocobs and 6 plants.

So instead of a light directly over center I am thinking of putting the lights between plants instead of over the center. This is what I have in mind. Curious if peeps have any experience or thoughts on this. What comes to mind for me is the side branches are going to do really well. And the center will also get light but not direct light. Not sure if that is OK or not. And the lights at the end of the rows will closer to the center of the end plants so I don't waste much light off to the sides where there are no plants.

I had thought about something similar for a test but ended up doing something else. Judging by the way some of my branches tried growing toward other Autocob lights, it will probably work well.

I think your plan is a solid one. I might also consider leaving one per plant and then angle the extra two thru each side like so:
... c c c ....
....p p p....
C—><—C
....p p p....
... c c c ...

Yes I was thinking about dangling and angling as well. That's one thing i love about autocobs.

I have 2 UVB T5/T8 fluorescent tubes to add in to this lighting scheme too and I'll probably put them in the center to cover all 6 plants. And I also have 2x600 watt HPS shades/fixtures that I have hanging from the center tent poles as well but they will be coming out once winter is over.

HPS+UVB+COB = full spectrum

Watch out for the angle of your dangle. :crying:
