Hello, Im new to autoflowers, new to this forum and new to guerilla grow ;)
My question is what is about strains for specific climate. I want to grow some 10 autoflower ladies in woods this summer couse im afraid regular strains will not mature enough couse of too short summer.

So. Any strains you can advice for 55 degree lattitude?
Climate in summer is mostly sunny (some 60-70% of daytime), not too much rain and not too windy. Temperature is only issue. It can be even close to 10-12 degree celsius nighttime in June and 35+ degree celsius daytime.

I bought some seeds from friend of mine already. 5x Dutch Passion Think Different and 3x Dutch Passion Auto Ultimate.
Will they grow or ill just waste them?

Martins
*English is not my first language, sorry for mistakes.

Northern lights auto is good to 10degrees c. Should do ya nicely.
and as fer English. ...sorry mines so bad..its my first language and kinda lazy wit it. :)

That's kind of high up for outdoors ... it can work but I'm thinking you're gonna get one 10-12 week growing period per year tops and it would be good not to miss your window ... were I to grow outdoors in those circumstances I would start the seeds for 3-4 weeks under an LED indoors in 1 gal root pouches ... when they became little bushes I would plant them outside, root pouch and all ... this should be slightly after all danger of frost has passed ... depending on your lights and space you might be able to get 2-3 starts in in one year. A root pouch is a fabric pot that is made to be planted in the ground when a plant is transplanted outdoors ... you can make your own out of any somewhat coarse/porous cloth ... if your location is shaded your plants will grow tall and thin.

You may find this thread to be of interest ... it's a root pouch grow done at 41* Lat ...

What i found about cold night climates:
''The biggest thing you'll notice when growing any plant outdoors in cold weather is everything kinda slows to a hault. Growth and development are impacted by cold temps. So far, my autoflowers have all survived the cold. As long as it warms up during the day, the plants can recover.''
Basicaly then theres no difference about strains i try?! Thing is 10degree temps can be once or twice a month but usually in summertime it is an average around 16-18 degree celsius.

My first grow was in labrador it was fine until oct..wish we had autos back then..those stupid long days in summer are great. Start indors now get em out at the end of april and yer fine for june harvest. As soon as their out start yer next for july harvest then august then yer done.
take a look at weather data over a few years u will see when yer golden.

Hey Martins G. I grow atoflowers N. of the Arctic Circle. South side of cabin, greenhouse shed. Green house cover protects from frost, which can happen anytime during growing season. Have to watch for heat build up though, the sun can be intense and blazing 10-11 hrs/day until moves around to N side of cabin. Lots of ventilation and shade cloth to keep things cooler on hot days. Fastest strains work. Put seed into pots 1st week of June, harvest last of August. Like Chester's idea of early start in root pots. Think I'll try it with super autos, more production would be nice. Good growing to ya.

Those should work fine, start them indoors, maybe 3 at a time, once a week and put them out once they get a couple sets of leaves. Dont put them out too early, I did some autos last year and the ones I put out early didnt amount to much because it was still getting pretty cold at night and the ground was also very cold. If you put down clear plastic over the ground where you are going to plant for a week or so before you actually plant them, that would help also. I would dig up the soil and add ferts first tho.

90 days are not enough for superautos, rather go with normal autoflowers if you wish to harvest at end of august.
Most autos will take longer outdoors than advertised, personally I'd choose Mephisto and RCMC seeds for cold nights.

Hey chester I have a question for ya? Im growing at 42* lat in the NE US I was wondering if you had problems with all the rain and what you did to protect your plants. I got massive bud rot this year and I had too many plants to move indoors. I sure could use some advice for next year if you wouldnt mind.

Wish I had an answer for you ... outdoors in the Northeast was pretty much a wash out this year ... the best advice I can give you is not to grow more plants than you need to ... most NE growers I know either did poorly or moved them indoors ...
