DIY Automated system suggestion

It would not be an issue, organics can be used in the medium as well like biotabs. I use mega crop, fulvic, humic, granulated molasses, kelp and some other stuff in mine.
By the way, is it the case that you can only buy via direct contact? I do not see anywhere price information or anything like that. How much is it for 2 gallons worth of this substrate?

I see that growpito uses rock wool. This is not cool as it is harmful to health and to the environment. Ok, I will definitely stick to either coco or soil.

Hello Odissey,

This is an organic spun stonewool made made from recycled material. There are no chemicals or binders and hence does not harm the environment like Grodan or Mapito. It is perpetually reusable and completely inert.

It's $55 for 5 gallons or $138 for 20 gallons. If you purchase direct you receive an AFN discount but currently only Growerhouse retails our product online.

I manipulated the Growpito outside, and it's dust free, so harmful to health doesn't have to be an issue.
This stuff is supposed to last for many years, so that might make it more environmentally friendly.
I've done 1 grow with it so far, and will be re-conditioning and re-using it this weekend.

The 1.5 cubic ft bag will fill about one 5 gallon bucket.
It filled both of my 2.2 gallon autpots with some left over.

Thanks for the info! So is there any description of the manufacturing process? How exactly is it different from rockwool and how does it prevent the health issues associated with rockwool?

@Odissey Sorry for the late response. Here are the MSDS.
