so ive been reading on some sites that some people grow photo plants under 12/12 lights from seed and claim to have a fairly quick turn around time due to no veg stage.... jusy wonderd if anyone had any knowledge on this....
i would have thought the 12 hour dark period at seedling stage would cause stretch.....

I have seen some folks talk about it. But most people go a little bit on Veg lights (18/6), to get some strength and to branch out a bit before flipping to 12/12.

I imagine it can be done, but considering that flowering growth is usually shorter, and not as long a period of time, that would surely not grow very big.

Auto's grown in the same environement would most likely grow bigger, as they don't use the light as a trigger for flowering. However, they will produce more, with the increased light.

NOTE, this is a general synopsis, the variables in play can determine other outcomes of course.

there is veg time , the will not flower until sexually mature , giving them only 12 hrs of light until then is really limiting the potential they should have and would have if the lights were on for 18+ hrs a day for at least 4 weeks

they will not flower faster for you , they will only flower at the exact point in time that they are ready , and that may be the only thing to speed anything up as you yourself might not realise they are ready and continue veging them an extra day , week or however long

long story short , 12/12 from seed is no faster and will make for a much smaller plant and yield
