New Grower Avoid Royal Queen Auto Jack Herer

Thanks JM! Yes, nutes have definitely been enhanced in hopes of a larger harvest but also to create healthy seeds. The plant seems to guzzle the solution...

I cheated today and popped two of the seeds out of their pods. The first appeared to be brown and ready to go but unfortunately I was paid back for my impatience by having it fall out of the palm of my hand and onto the floor, only to disappear! The second was entirely green still. It would appear that my initial guess of Thanksgiving is looking more and more accurate for final harvest.

Identical first seed experience (well wanted seed)

yes it will guzzle harder and harder as flower progresses... be ready! :ama:

I think I will be needing that ax your emoticon is wielding! The stalk on this plant is enormous! Will certainly be going on the burn pile, there is no way I will be hiding this from the garbage service.

So we all know I am disappointed with the strain, no need to revisit this.

I will say though, the effect is VERY good from what I did get from the plant. The energizing sativa influence is definitely there. There is no couch lock whatsoever. I found myself wanting to read, which of course proved futile. Then I thought I should fire up the xbox, but that proved pretty much useless as well.

I admit to vaping one toke over the line just to get the max effects. The onset was a little racy, which I do not really like (thought's and impressions rushing through one's mind) and this could have very easily turned into full blown paranoia had I continued to fill another vapor bag... This left fast however, and what remained was very enjoyable.

The flavor, even though it was uncured, was very agreeable. I can't really compare it to anything, it wasn't berry, citrus, or pine. It has it's own unique fragrance.

The scent was sharp after grinding, more than other buds usually are. This probably has something to do with the fact that it wasn't cured but I will say that after grinding the chlorophyll scent was entirely gone. Interesting variety.

Most has been harvested now, will probably get enough to fill one pint mason jar (usually I get two or three from one plant).

I will let the plant grow for two more weeks or so to make sure my seeds are ripe on the bottom branches. Look forward to seeing what I get from them.

In the meantime I have started two fem Northern Lights X Big Bud in yet another attempt at reversing one with CS and pollinating the other. I bought Tiresias mist but after that bottle is gone I will just be mixing 3cc's of 500 ppm colloidal silver and filling the rest of the one ounce bottle with distilled water. This should give me a 50 ppm solution. I hope it works this time, my other attempt was a failure but it wasn't from the CS, there were some issues with the plant itself. I feel I have corrected these problems. I will be changing one plant entirely, instead of just one branch as the Tiresias mist label states. The colloidal silver master Bob has warned myself and others about possible hermie issues with partial reversals. I also feel that the company that makes the mist has something in the application. Most people spray the plant until runoff when using CS. The instructions on the bottle state to spray only the main branch of what you are trying to change. This more exact spraying of the budding sites may indeed be the missing link to success and failure. Time will tell!! I look forward to posting some results from this experiment in another thread at the proper time.

Thanks for following me on this one, it has been an interesting ride!!

Forgot to mention there was an interesting visual quality as well, the "Stoner Vision". I experience it like things are a little too in focus, for lack of a better explanation, perhaps with a little vibrational effect on the edges of objects. Anyway I am sure those who are reading this will get the gist:WTF:

Happy I found this thread ! I have the same plants (Jack Auto) that are nine weeks today and the bus are so small (like the pic) and I have done almost everything right. Nben what was your final harvest outcome bud ?

I actually did end up getting around a half ounce of fluffy dried bud. Like I said I was really surprised at how good it actually was however. I think in the future I will be getting another jack herer strain from a more established strain. This one was released for 2013, so I feel this will be tweaked a little more after rq receives more complaints. Since this is just for me I don't mind vaping a more "old school hippy weed" looking product. Those daring enough to grow for sale would loose their butts since selling it would probably be impossible, even if the effect is superb. I saved the leaves as well but don't know what I want to do with them yet. It's like a small bale!!

In hind site I wish I could rename this thread. I have been in contact with Royal Queen Seeds and they let me know that this strain should have the light schedule shortened. Perhaps later I will try a run again and shorten the light down earlier. I feel the thread should have a name like "Light cycle should be shortened with Royal Queen Seeds Jack Herer" or something to that effect. As I stated the flowers I did get from the plant are very good!
