Photoperiod Ayahuasca - photoperiod - first coco grow

Cannabis Seeds
Week 3 after they came from the dead in soil😃

Coco/perlite 50/50
Temps 26-28C
RH 55-60%
PPFD 600-650

Feeding bigger plant 2.0-2.2EC
Smaller 1.6EC
Ph 5.8-6.0

Silica
Canna Calmag
T.A. Tripart
Diamond Nectar
Cannazym
Great white powder once a week top dress

Watering 6 times per day. At the end of the day 20-30% runoff. Every time I water the leaves perk up. It’s strange that you can’t overwater them not like in soil. I like coco and hydro stylešŸ˜Ž

Transplanted from a 3L pot to an 8L fabric pot. Put great white on the roots.Tomorrow I will get the automated drip system parts and will put them on. So decided to go with an 8L pot instead of a 25L pot because I won't need to feed by hand.

Transplant day 07/12

Hello growers,

I’m a new grower with just one soil grow behind me. I got a few seeds from a buddy called ā€œAyahuascaā€. I think they’re from Barney’s Farm, but I’m not completely sure😃

I started two of these seeds in Biobizz Light Mix Peat Free, but things didn’t go well. The seeds were started using the paper towel method, but the plants ended up brown and stunted for about three weeks. For my first grow, I used garden soil, and the plants grew without any issues.

I was ready to throw these out, but instead, I transplanted them into a 50/50 coco/perlite mix and started watering once a day to runoff with Terra Aquatica Tri-Part at 350 ppm. I buffered the coco twice with 0.4 EC CalMag and pH 6.0, and I’m using distilled water for now (waiting on my RO filter). At first, the plants were pretty much brown with just a single green leaf each. But after a week in coco, they started looking like completely new plants.

I’ve been reading through the 420autoflower thread about SCROG, and it’s impressive what he’s managed with autoflowers. I want to learn more about his technique, and after this grow, I plan on trying autoflowers myself. But before that, I really want to figure out the best way to water coco.

At first, I watered the coco once a day, then bumped it up to three times a day and the plants started growing well. Now, though, the leaves are looking droopy. Maybe overwatered? Here’s what I’m using right now:

Nutrients:
-Terra Aquatica Micro (soft water)
-Grow
-Bloom
-Cannazym (leftovers from my first grow)
-Canna Calmag (I start with 50 ppm. Not sure if I should increase it, or if the Micro covers it)

Totals
-400 ppm
-pH 6.0

Runoff today is 460 ppm and pH 6.04. Pot size is 500 ml. Should I transplant now or wait? I was thinking of moving to a 3L pot next, then finally to a 20L fabric pot with coco/perlite.

Current environment:
-Kingbrite 800W Evo, 400-450 PPFD at 45cm
-22-23 °C, 65–70% RH (it’s summer, but not too hot)
-Oscillating fan
-Humidifier
-Room size 2.5 x 2.5 meters
-Fresh air from the home’s ventilation system

I have an automatic watering system on the way, similar to what 420autoflower uses. Planning to run DTW, since I don’t think I could handle a recirculating setup like he does.

These plants are in week 3 now, one week recover included. And this is a second day that I brought them indoor. It's cold outside,🄶 My question: how should I water the coco? Should I let it dry out, or keep watering multiple times a day with runoff each time? I keep reading that you can’t really overwater coco with perlite, but the drooping leaves have me second guessing things.

Sorry if this is hard to read. I’ll try to keep updating every week. Thanks in advance for any advicešŸ‘ŠšŸ€

Oh nice! I hope I get some spiritual trips too😃 50 day flowering time is also a bonus. Thanks for the linkšŸ‘ŒšŸ€šŸ’Ø

So far so good. I’ve decreased EC from 2.0 to 1.4 because of N toxicity. The edges of the leaves started to curl down and they are darker. Cut the canna calmag and magnesium sulfate. I think I used too much of them😃 If I see a calmag deficiency only then I will add it. Terra Aquatica already have it. But I read that you need more for LED’s. Well it was too much. As it’s my second grow things might happen😃

Temps 28C
RH 65%
PPFD 500-600
Lights 18/6
EC 1.4
pH 5.8-6.0

Hooked them on automatic feeding three days ago. It’s nice when you don't need to water. I just check pH if it’s not creeping above 6.2. I'm using Floraflex non-pressure darts and a Floraflex bubbler. 4 darts per pot. Not to get high pressure I’ve added a T line that goes back to the reservoir. Got a submersible water pump.

Yo, two weeks passed. Have a lot of stuff going on so I took some pictures.

Right now using just Terra Aquatica Tripart. Used Diamond nectar and Cannazym. I’ve seen no difference so I dropped it. Plants are looking good. Going to stick with just NPK. Didn't like the smell either of cannazym and pH swings.

I need to put ice bottles to keep water temps in check. Going to grab a water chiller. It’s hot right now 26-28C °C. RH 65%.

Nutrients 1.3EC. Feeding 8 times per day, pH 6.0, PPFD 500.

Going to supercrop tomorrow or on Tuesday with the pliars😃

Next time I will veg less. I had a house renovation so I had to move them around to their final place

Consider at the bottom of the plant removing leaves (well shaded) and new sprouting branches (which are not going to be productive).
I’m going to schwazz before a flip which will be today or tomorrow.

If you’ll be applying the 420autoflower SCROG method do not remove any of the bottom nodes. Even the weakest nodes on the bottom of the plant will eventually shoot up to the top of the canopy and turn into huge colas with my method.
No waste and maximum yield!

Oh yeah, I’m going to leave all of them. I will remove only leaves. At the bottom, there are a lot of new nodes. Got long pliers. I will put a tape on them so they won't hurt stems too much. Thank you for your help masteršŸ‘Š

Hello growersšŸŒæšŸ’Ø

So I schwazzed and supercropped them with pliers on 08/06. I was going to switch to 12/12 but I need a few days to finish renovating the house and I need to visit that room. So they are still in veg until Tuesday. I ordered two 240-watt lights for the sides to feed them more photons. 800W is not enough for them, too wide.

The supercropping was fun and brutal😃 Three of the branches were hanged because they were too heavy to hold on their own. I broke them a little bit. I used some tape to cover the braking points. I'm not going to veg too long anymorešŸ˜… But because of the house renovation, I didn't have a choice.

The smaller one was easy to supercrop. Next time I will use less tape on the pliers because it was slipping all the time.

The bigger one is 1m 60cm wide
The smaller one is 90cm wide
