DIY Bad Insulated Duct

Hello everyone , i have a litle problem that some of you can help me.

i bought a lot of insulated duct but its not good like the duct i bought long time ago , it is much noisey

i cant return it because they dont have other better, this is what they sell now the say..

and i think its a good idea to cover it all around with roockwool

or something like that and then cover it again all around with some nylon for food

so the noise will not be a problem anymore..

I am not so sure about how much effective that would be , thats why i ask here the DIY pros

If anyone think this is a good idea for me to do or if you know any better materials that will be more effective i will be grateful

I used to sound proof my cars with big speakers!! using that much rockwool you gonna have fiber everywhere!!

its for the ventilation, its a bit noisey

It should work great, although you may have to double wrap to lose the very low rumble stuff.

Measure out full coverage region.. cut those squares line that wrapped. ..with heat cool heat ..its going be fibers in air unless you seal it properly ..first look I thought Damm that's a nice long slab of rockwool. Drop a baby in each one...,

It will work very well if done right. If you have a long run it may be too much work and expense.

rockwool dust is very bad for your lungs. Wear a GOOD dust mask while installing and vacuum the area when you done

Hello evryone i will sare my experience with you

i buy 5 cm flexible rockwool as you can see in the picture..It was more difficult that i was expecting..

i cover ALL the duct but it is not flexible with this 5cm rockwool and the difference to the noise is not much

i am trying to mute my grow box at all but soundproofing is verry expensive sport and difficult in that levels i want it, i took out all of the rock wool (waste of money) and i am searching for another method

i let you all know when i find another way
