I posted a thread at the New Growers Forum section (https://www.autoflower.org/f44/before-growing-my-first-autoflowering-plant-42775.html) and people said to come here, so I did.

Here's an exact copy of the previous thread:
Little backstory: So I live in a very small town where only one person grows weed. Yes, only one. A month ago this person got arrested, and no one in this town has weed anymore. I've waited, but it seems that no one has any weed in my town. So, I decided to grow some of my own for personal use, maybe sell some to my friends.

So for the first time in my life, I started searching information about growing marijuana.
Normal seeds were too complicated to me, so I decided to use autoflowering seeds.
I'm also going to use feminized seeds for my first grow to make sure I get female plants only.

As I don't have a big budget, I need to do everything super cheap. The quality really doesn't matter because there is always shitty weed in my town. Oh and yes, I'm going to grow outdoors because I really don't have anywhere to grow inside.

So, I put something together myself:
- 2 autoflowering seeds (or 3 if I can't buy 2), I'm thinking between Onyx and Super Skunk and maybe even mi5.
- FoxFarm Happy Frog Organic potting soil mixed with 30% perlite (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001V6WXEI?...JXYDFW55AV0MFS)
I don't know what nutrients to put in. Also, all that + ph kits n regulators are going to be too expensive.
Any tips / feedback?

hey i grow outside too. how many daylight hours you getting? check here if ya dont know http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/sunrise.html
why grow shitty weed if you can grow the BEST weed? all you need is a small investment, and i really mean small... especially if you're growing outside, and the rest is up to TLC.
as long as you've got some good nutes with a good schedule to follow, and as long as you make yourself a nice light soil you'll be smoking the best weed in town.... well either way its the best weed in town since you'll be the only one growing :D
anyway good luck buddy and remember that a small investment always makes a big difference!
:peace:

Abt 17-19 hours of sunlight. The "bad weed" is just bevause I have heard that growing somee good qualoty stuff requires a big budget wich I don't have.

Also thanks to namvet25 for posting that link

Growing quality weed outdoors costs way less than you'd think. I grew #5 last year from 6 plants. Cost me less than $200 including buying clones dirt 35 gallon smart pots general organics ferts and a pair of fiskar shears.

Oh ok.
But a question, do you really need smart pots?

outside you dont need pots at all, as a matter of fact, I would suggest going without them if possible. Look at Dutch Passion or Mephisto genetics. Dont overdo it with nutes, thats an easy newbie mistake to make, more isnt better in many situations. Dont start your plants too early, autos have a short veg period and you need to plant them at the optimal time to take advantage of it. They dont get huge, so dont waste a lot of time trying to hide your plants and sacrifice getting them the light they need to get large.

Not at all a 5 gallon pail, in the ground.that's entirely up to you. I was just letting you know what I did with a small investment

Thanks everyone for the amazing feedback.
Anyone else got something to say?
