I have a big bag with natural Bentonite here and I am about to mix new soil for some AK47 seeds. Normally I just use perlite but thinking about using bentonite also. Google it but did not find any useful information, just some mentioning it could be useful. Anyone here tried it?

Had to look it up but sounds good in small doses. Looks like it's used a lot in Australia, provides lots of secondary nutes. I don't think it would replace perlite, vermiculite or Coco coir though.

Apparently I suck at googling stuff :crying:
Thanks @Rollin_along I will try a small amount together with perlite

Bentonite is a naturally occuring clay, Wyoming, N.Dakota etc. its also a drilling mud additive which repels water. You can dump it in a leaky stock tank and it'll seal ot up pronty.

Very small quantity, if at all!
