New Grower berry ryder and sour diesel

looking good mate  do you mind if i ask a question about ph?
What ph do we take note of for the correct ph is it the ph in or the run off ph? or is it inbetween? still boggles my mind

i have been going by 2 methods

I take all 3 ...soil ph ...water ph ....runoff ph add then and then divide them by3 and it is suppose be be accurate ....I also test the soil once wet and see where is sits after 1 hour of watering ......usually i go by that and since i have ive had great growth ....If u have the proper balance of soil and constant ph watering id say u are close ....I have a Hanna SOIL pen and its constantly between 6.3-6.5 but i just learned i might need to caliborate it ....I know calcium kinda raises the ph and both times i have got higher ph reading from Runoff it was with molasses added .....IM new too bro so im on a ride of learning as well .....I have the new little cheese her dirt has been measured properly and baked for 2 months so im on tract from the get go on her......I had to add dolomite lime all through the beginning now all is good on the next soil .......Wish i could help more Si ,,,,,we been discussing it in a thread ,,,,Ill try and send ya the link when i find it how bout that !!!!

thanks man for stopping by

  1. http://www.lamptech.co.uk/Images/Illustrations/SO%20SPD's.jpg lps were very limited in spectrum and finding lights that had penetration strength were harder w/ the lower amount of wattage bulbs...

    didn't print it all
but the main reason is they are monochromatic
    1 spectrum:)
if using a 400 watt i would go for a ceramic mh
much cooler and can get closer to plants w/o burning:)
philips is the way w/ this by the way
but while they say it can be used throughout grow i prefer to use a higher output hps for the last couple of weeks
i see it as saving on bulb costs in the longer run
but when trying to increase "blues" in hps spectrum there has to be a give and take somewhere like in all things

the son-agro 430watt hps is a decient bulb also and cheaper than the hortifux-EYE
but the bulb for the time being is the only one i will use from now on until others copy and improve this as a standard
has to be a magnetic balast though
in some publications it says there is a uv blocker that helps reduce the waer on fabrics and paintings so i wonder waht the deal is
and some other brands make light like this but far more expensive that work in digital ballasts
this just looks so far to be in favor of higher levels of some spectrum plants like
but still truthfull if one is buying a new lamp i see leds really being taylored to better ratios used by plants it is just a matter of time
for along time hps or mh have been the standard because of their power but more recent studies have shown how inefficient they really are compaired to exactly what plants want
i see in a few models they are getting there on the balance of product cost to the results
it is getting cheaper by the day really to get decent leds w/ proven results and this will continue in the future
the main thing i also see w/ leds is that you can cater them to more exact grow environment
and as they continue to produce better products it is only a matter of time before they are the hands down winner
until things like plasma light tech gets cheaper but i see always a good market for leds now it is just who makes the best product for the least money:)

thanks bro ,

Yo Jasl Sniper so would u choose MH comapred to HPS .....MH i can get for 30$ cheaper and both bulbs ...with the ratchet strap all for 119$ 400w

BACK ON THE FENCE .......i can do the closet with this and ventilate really well straight up to the attic.....the have me a second level with a 240w black star doing 2 level grow ....hahah awww shit welcome to Da Bayouuuu!!!!!!

use the shitty flo to make seedlings

I would stick to the hps. The bulb that comes with that package has expanded blue spectrum so even the babies do well under it. And mh puts out quite a bit more heat than hps with less lumens.

for being a UFO i am really impressed with the BS 100w 6 band i have .....I want leds and Im still on the proper hunt for great light ....as for now budget ahh well it got better so hopefully in the next 3 weeks i can conquer my light problems thanks guys for the help appreciate the help !!!!!

JasL is spot on Bro about the HPS... Especially with Autos you don't need mh or that spectrum to succeed. I use the mh spectrum with my supplemental lighting so you could consider that route but if it were me I would go HPS over mh for sure. One thing that makes me not switch to led is some growers have issues with their pots not drying out fast enough... especially in veg because you have to have the light higher in veg with leds... So that always turned me off because in my set up my girls dry out in 2 days sometimes... 3 days on average. So consider your setup and if you go with led just be prepared to have to supplement that heat you would get from the HPS or more air flow in there to keep your pots drying out good. Just my :2cents: man... Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but, that's just what I gathered in my research of leds...

Your ladies are looking good bro! Bring on the Bayou Berry!!! :head:
