New Grower Berry Ryder @ week 5.5, time to switch to 20/4 and add 2700k spectrum or wait some more?

Hi guys,

Newb here, but have been sitting back lurking on the forum for the last couple of months soaking in as much knowledge I can.

I'm in week 5.5 and noticing pistols (buds?) forming. I've been running 24/0 LED Veg-ish lighting but am thinking I should switch to 20/4 now based on many of the comments I read from the senior members here. In addition I've also read a few comments suggesting the grow room should go dark for up to 24 hrs to fully induce flowering. This seems like a good idea, but is it the right time to do this? Maybe I'm in a rush to add my 2700 spectrum, please let me know!

Here's a couple pics of my main squeeze. She's about 40 centimeters tall, consistent color on all leaves and emitting a lovely skunky smell.

Any comment would be appreciated. I feel I've done well so far and worry I'll kill her if I stray to far off the tested path.

Hi nomis,ur grow looks realy gd,well done,im lovin the LED u hav. Iv always put my ladys on 20-4 after 2wks, but thats only cause i hav to mov them then. Im sure sum1 wil giv u a better idea. Keep them goin like u ar & im sure ul get ur reward at the end..:smokebuds:

Alrite man tasty looking grow I'm at about week 6 with my auto Sweet skunk and am gonna start phasing out veg nutes phase in flower nutes and switch over to her flowerin bulbs. Dunno about the times cause I just run 18/6 good luck

Yeah 20-4 and I use a mix spec. Heavy on 2700k. Plant looks lovely . Good luck the rest of the way thur

i run mine 18/6. Its what was recommended by the bank and i have high heat to fight with. You shouldnt have to put them in the dark for them to flower. Thats why they are called autoflowers. Some poeple say 24/7 is good light but then some say you need a little dark time. Its really up to what you believe will work.

I would add the reds. Even though its still growing you've got pistils so red will help them fill in. I would drop to 20/4 now the sleep will help them work on roots and burn up the sugars stored during the light cycle. I used to run 24/0 but now believe the rest is good for them. Yours are looking good though
