Lighting best led for the price???

any tips for knowing it is it drawing 5w

Do you really think it's a con Tang or are you being tongue in cheek? It's my understanding they are under driven to extend the life of the diodes and actually I saw on some nerdy project forum where someone did the maths and a 3w chip driven at 2w produces light more efficiently than 3w. I'm guessing it's a diminishing returns thing.

As far as LEDs go AutoTeaser, I used a Reflector series topledgrowlight LED with success. I didn't review it because I used another(and horrible) LED for the first 3 weeks of my grow but I don't think I would have had the success I did if not for getting the better LED so take that for what it's worth. Good luck whichever direction you go!!

find out the actual draw then count the chips...it will give you a ball park. Different colours are driven at different power for instance a red will be driven higher than a blue.

Not every company cons bro but the ones that quote the max draw of the whole unit as the actual draw are in my opinion.

It's in the spec on ebay bro, actual draw is 510w so it's running at 53% power which is about 2.55 watts.

Which luckily means you'll be ok in your lowish tent with that lamp :)

I would go for Topled Vipar or Purple Alien if there are no GN´s at the moment.

And btw u guys always look for the watts which is at led lights not the only factor to look for.....better take a look at the lenses too... u can have a looot of power but if u have wack lenses it only costs u energy.... thats one of the main factors why i defo get me a Purple Alien panel next time!!!

Couldn't agree more man. If the company doesn't list actual draw they're using lie of omission as a sales tactic.

Forget the previous post if you read it, I got a frickin Chinese rip off site searching for those two brands ffs, my bad!

Still not 100% sure the standard Blackstars are bang for buck worth it though. The Cidly seems to have one of the better red spectrums if you get them custom made, have to check out their standard panels in a bit.

Ha, just noticed after more googling on the Cidly's the customs specs are by Tang and Red eyed c!

The standard Apollo's I would consider if I had a bigger lighting budget but I don't so it's a Ford instead of a Beemer for me in the lighting world :)

The Blackstar lamps I can't the actual draw, all I can find listed are the 2013 models anyway so if anyone has links to their good stuff?
