Lighting best led for the price???

You should hit 32 oz no problem with 4 pots in that system, and if you can get the right amount of light 48oz :)

. Cidly who makes apollo 4 wants 99.00 US a piece that is alot of coverage for a 100 bucks and shipping for four to Canada is reasonable. I kinda of like bysen too they have a nice looking well made apollo type led. The bysen is a little more not much

i heard somthign about bysens a whiel ago?? any good then?

Here is what I read on Bysen, I would steer clear

GN seem to be the most professional and at the absolute forefront of this tech. I think a wait of a few weeks for the new models to be released should not sway you to look elsewhere.

good luck :bong:

Thanks puff, I highly suspect the validity of that info, I've brought two lights from bysen and got both lights, granted they were difficult to deal with and one light broke three times but every single time they stood behind their warranty.... Maybe this is scam is legit for the bigger resellers but I've yet to hear anything of the such... I do remember them trying to sell me a cholroba but don't recall the price it def wasn't $1,500! That's insane.... My dealings with bysen have been legit

I don't know about all the weird conspiracy guys in the china suits in the earlier post, but after switching from HPS to LED I'm stoked

I have a VIPAR with the 5w and I'm stoked. Mine was advertised as a 2'x4' coverage at 24" above the canopy. I currently have flowering ladies about 6" below them in a 2'x4'x5' tall tent. I still would like more coverage. Two 90w LED's on either side of my current 600w LED would be perfect for the space, but I may be stuck getting 180w LED's with 3 watt chips... This is my first LED grow but these are my observations.

So far the spectrum and light intensity are rocking it, I'm seeing no light bleaching and with regular calmag doses according to the bottle I'm having no issues there.

Morning bro, here's two possibilities for your lighting setup from Vipar.
Since you are growing in a loft it's going to get cold in the autumn/winter/spring, you'll need to add a greenhouse heater for lights off and a couple of big 300w red cfl's would do the trick to keep it warm for lights on.

1st setup is for growing all 4 plants together from seed to harvest in one large tent.

2nd is for vegging 2 plants at one end of the tent and flowering 2 at the other end so you get a harvest roughly every 6 weeks. Will work the same in two smaller tents.

1. Due to your budget I've got two options, 3 of these 400w Reflector Panels at £148.49 each, spaced evenly along the tent as high as you can for the most coverage, they are a combination of 3w and 5w chips. Total true draw is 600w.
Or you could buy two of the 400w panels and add 3 x 300w 9U Red CFL's at £36.50 each. That would be CFL/Vipar/CFL/Vipar/CFL in a line which is what I would use having discovered how hard it is to keep the temps up with leds!

2. This is a much easier choice and would be my choice of using the space for harvesting either 2 plants every 6 weeks or one plant every 3 weeks.
For vegging I'd use one 400w Reflector at £148.49 and for flowering I'd use two Vipar COB's at £314.98. Only £10 overbudget!

Hope these options help you bring it in on budget, you can always add cfl's or other panels once you have done a grow or have more cash free but you should be good to go for a respectable harvest with any of these options.

Oh and it's worth contacting Vipar to see if they'll do a deal with you on multiple purchases!

My humble experience has been good thus far with "450w" led panel, listed as a Pioneer Pro model on ebay US. After months of research and reading, I chose this model knowing that it was just a generic China unit and knew it wasn't going to be using 450w, I also know it's not actually made by Pioneer lol. (having installed car audio for awhile, I just know it's not heh) It was $199 USD shipped, and is very bright for my 2x4 foot tent, and works along side 6x 24w CFL's, a couple 2ft florescent tubes, and a couple uvb reptisun cfl's. Oh, in metric I have .75 meters square, not a lot really. So it's a good combo for the space.

As someone mentioned in an earlier post, I also do a CFL-LED-CFL layout, and with the floro tubes zip tied to the up poles. It's an weird setup that works for me, but I'd probably do something different with a different shaped space. After seeing KylieKay's results with Vipar, and seeing them praised elsewhere, I'll probably be getting a Vipar next. The "Pioneer" doesn't have lenses, but it actually spreads the light perfectly for my rectangle, and it's heavy. It honestly feels like $200 of led should. Just my two cents on that one :)
