I'm sure it's been asked, but I'm on a quest to find the best LED I can for under $600.

From all of the research I've done, i'm leaning towards the Mars II 900W ( $350 )

I just wanted to get a few other suggestions before I commit.

Thanks in advance guys

Hi, brolybuds :) First, Bad@ss avatar! I recently picked up these:

a pair of 450watt panels-labeled Growstar, but totally Mars panels. I have one in my auto closet, and one on one side of my flowering tent. They are well worth the money, the plants love them, and rather than having one big 900, you can position and adjust them independently. They're worth consideration. I don't know what you're looking for as far as coverage, but this pair will primary cover a 4x4 area, blindingly. Best to you on your quest!

Waximus! Lol gotta pay tribute to the LSSJ. Thanks for the recommendation. I think no matter the brand I will get 2 lights just to have the better coverage.

Id check out mars reflector series or cidly apollo. You could get 2 apollo 10s for that price or 2 144 x 3w reflectors.

Watt for watt you will struggle to match the new HS1 from Grownorthern.com,I'm using 2 at a total of 150w in a 1.2m2 room. Here's my grow https://www.autoflower.org/f109/testing-gns-new-light-new-dp-autos-39074.html the only problem is it's 220-240v only.

Good post"kudos" ..I was also thinking of 2 Mars 900s i grow alot!

and with staggering 14 plants id like the LED cross over. GN hands down makes the best LED because of the drivers and the rebel or Phillips leds. but cant run on us power as of yet.. You guys really think the mars reflectors will grow 14 plants at a time? its the foot print im looking for.

sorry didn't mean to thread jack !

the draw in the mars is 400-450 I think 3 might do it 2 would be pushing it .It looks like a new one is coming out soon I would wait for the new one so the old ones price goes down or the new light might be 50x better .led tech is movin faster as more money is spent on it.I Use GN led and I just love them .Led is the best for me.Looks like it says they are 5w leds and I think that there is no 5 watt they are 3w pushed to run at 5..you may want to ask if that is the case.

The Draw on this one is 289 watts ..I hate that they all have a number in the name like thats the watts but its just a name lol not to say its a bad led just something to look for when you hunt leds.Plus lights that are just one solid pannel I think if one led goes out the hole thing is done so warenty is key too and company reliability.

I was wanting to cover 8 foot by 8 foot so I'd like at some point having 4 900s. but its winter and my hids are keeping my room at the right temp.
