Greetings

I am planning my first grow with autoflowering plants. I live near the coast in South-West Wales (52° N).

I am finding the huge selection of strains available to be somewhat overwhelming and could do with some advice, ideal from growers situated in the UK or a similar climatic region.

I'm thinking of staggering my planting, and would like all the plants to finish in August, before, the quite possibily very wet, September begins.

I would like to try some of the new 'super autos' for a first cohort, planting perhaps in early May. Then a variety of 'regular autos' to be planted out in June. Does this sound feasible/a good idea?

I would be very grateful for some strain recommendations, particularly those that would do better in the unpredictable, possibly wet, weather we are likely to get here in the Summer.

due to its back ground linage (passion no.1) tundra#2 should be good

Welcome to AFN mate :smokebuds: here a thread I remembered from last year, its outdoor and in yr area it may help you out https://www.autoflower.org/f6/2012-season-begins-7561.html. Iv also MI5 do well in a uk greenhouse grow.theres alot of choice and with autos I think most will do well if the weathers nice, and with a climate like ours who knows what to expect lol also go check out the highrise seeds vendor here at AFN,they have some awesome early finishing strains bro

Hi, Syn. I got the exact same question, so I'll hover here if you don't mind and see what peeps say. I'm at Lat 56 in Scotland - near the coast too, so we share much the same climate. So far I got a few of Stitch's Super Cali Hazes which, based on reading around, I'm hoping should work here.

Sounds like the Lowryder-based autos have a tough time of it in our kind of weather but I got a bunch of Pink Salad F2s and some Blue Himalaya x Snow Ryder F1s from a previous indoor grow and I'm going to chuck them out anyway, see what happens. I also got a few Dinafem Autocheeses as a freebie and I'll be trying them too.

Good luck with whatever you go with....

Hi Syn here a few iv grown above your lattide Autos : DP mazar , Think different , bluberry, Super Cali stitch .I went with about 20 lts of soil per plant averages 30 to 60 grams last year with the wettest summer ever. Go as big as you can to compensate for bad climate extra perlite helps for drainage. They all hold up well for shit climates with little to no mold. :peace:

Well, here we have it Syn. I thought the SCH might be good but nothing like hearing from a man that's done it. Cheers, Growin.

That sounds awesome. Just what I want to hear. When did you start them outside?

Syn, I have experience with these. For normal autos outdoors at ur lat add 15 to 20 days on to what the breeder says. For super autos add 20 to 30 days. Some will finish before your adjusted date, but most will not.

Remember, finishing time outdoor isn't the same for everyone. Direct sun light will make a big difference. Also a lot of people even prefer the meds when they take it just a little early, and most others are just in a hurry or don't know better.

With these autos you should get a good early start, and take them before the choppers or rippers start looking. So you can take a little more risk and put them right out in direct sun for most of the day. Given that you even do a reasonable job with hole prep, water, and nutrient application, hours of direct sun light will be most peoples deciding factor for yield outdoor.

Good luck and happy growing.

La Buena Hierbas strains are all grown way up north in typically cold wet weather for consideration on the super auto class. They were engineered so that top quality hazes could be grown up there and finish out properly.

Welcome to the forum Syn, are u a surfer by anychance !
Are you planting the seeds straight out or starting them indoors? If ur doing super autos id start them end of march and have em indoors for a month, the normal autos can be germed up to the start of june
