Is dewaxing the same thing as winterizing? Does dewaxing make it a better quality product?

You are are not wrong at all in 80% of the time purging at the temp of 110 is a great temp for shatter and I'd say 80% of the strains in run will shatter up but a lo of high cbd strains will be a more sappy consistency or pull n snap at least for me.

And i I perfer some proper honey comb as well

Honey comb is just a diffrent consistency and a change of flavor per say.

Honeycombs process the way i do it is I purge to clean
stable shatter then increase my oil to a temp of 135-140 and i whip it for a few mins then pull to a full vac and purge for about 24 hours more at 135-140!to achieve the honeycomb consistency

No Problem bro. I know once you see it youl know what's going on and there will be no dought in my mind that if you follow the steps you or anyone else will make some quaily hash safely your first try or two.

Thursday is my first day off and by then all my material will be nice and dry and il get the pics up in my how to thread and also get my vac purging thread up.

I may use some nuggets and do a QWISO thread
and a
dewaxing thread.

i think with all that well have a good base here. also il contact eek and see if I can put together a thread with links to quality and reasonable equipment

I blast a lot but never done qwiso seems pretty interesting as the consistency seems to be more hash like. So I'll deff read your thread when you got time to make it

yea I myself perfer to blast rather then "shake" with qwiso lol. I enjoy the taste of BHO more as well but for those who don't want to Blast Flowers and rather Shake em it's a fairly easy process a lot safer then extracting that's for sure.

Q. How much butane do you use? A. I utilize 1 can of high quality butane per oz of high quality trim/flower.
Q. What tubes do you use? A. Extraction Experts XL Tubes. Good tubes, company always ships super slow though. I'll be moving to new tubes soon.
Q. What kind of filters? I use 100 micron metal screens in conjunction with 25 micron pressing screens, as well as unbleached coffee filters at times although I much prefer pressing screens as they hold up better for longer.
Q. Do you grind your herb before you blast? A. No, I will sometimes cut into smaller pieces by scissors if it is dense, but I don't grind.
Q. How long do you vacuum purge for? A. Till I've reached the desired honeycomb texture I want, or till I have a clean shatter that will not move under pressure at 110f.
Q. Do I really need a vacuum pump and chamber for making good oil? A. It is not 100% necessary, but I HIGHLY recommend it for top shelf oil. It will make your job a lot faster and easier, and help to ensure you a safer product.
Q. What kind of pump do you use? A. Robinair 2 Stage 3 CFM Pumps.
Q. What kind of butane do you use? A. I mostly use Power 5x, but also like Vector and Colibri (twice the price).
Q. What kind of vacuum chamber do you use, and where can I buy one? A. Vac-It Pro and you can only purchse them on eBay. They are around $120.
Q. Do you constantly run the vacuum pump? A. Yes
Q. Do you constantly heat while purging, and if so with what? A. Yes I do, with an electric griddle
Q. What temp do you use for shatter? A. Not above 115f
Q. What temp do you use for honeycomb? A. Not above 130f
