SS is Good to use thats what my Half Pound tubes are.

8 ounces of material.... whoa! lolol Are you using a closed (vacuum) system for the large runs, Weedman? How much butane is needed to process that ss tube?? I'm fascinated by the closed systems, though I get by with an 18" 1.75 diameter tube.

I wish i had a Closed loop System i only got to run material with a CLS 3 Times and man it was quick and easy LOL.
(was actually one of the most complicating processes iv ever seen done was helping put it together)once you do a run or so you figure it out quickly

I use 1 can of Butane to 1 oz of Bud for Trim its about 3/4 a can.Or when you Open Blast with a tube i stop running butane when the liquid is clear no more color coming out of the end of the Tube.

Hey guys i understand im not a MOD by any means but i have been extracting for 4+ years 2 years of that being medically. So if its ok with the Mods of this forum id be more than Glad to help out.

I just dont want people to get hurt or be consuming poison!!

I get it. Okay, I am not here to regulate, just moderate.

If you want to guide peeps on this, as long as it's safe, we have no problem.

I will occaisionally offer up links, and stuff, and info, and some of my experiences. As will other's who have access.

If you want to thow up a thread on your process, feel free to do so. As long as you put all the safety stuff in thier as well. But I am sure you would have whether I said that or not.

but
You can go both ways because i also have a Boro Tube that holds a OZ i use for personal small Runs.

Both are safe and good to use.
I would not recommend a Cheap China Glass made tube as that can get risky.
Make sure the glass is nice and Thick

Do not use PVC or Plastic turkey Basters

What should be the thickness of the glass? 2mm will be good?

2mm may be good iv never used a 2mm IMO its to thin for me.

Try to stick with 5-7mm

I had a 3mm glass tube that cracked on the 3rd run with it. I then bought a 7mm glass tube, and it is rock solid. I noted that the head shop nearest me had some very cheap ($) tubes, which did not look up to the task. The one I have kept is like the main stem of a Grav bong- much stronger!

Probably a good time for a basic safety point for those who've never done BHO...
I ALWAYS wear heavy leather gloves when doing a BHO run. The sensation of n-butane on the skin is very near the sensation "canned air juice"- frightfully cold, and damaging to the skin. And, if the tube cracks, midblast, you will appreciate the layer of leather

I did a BHO few times but I never was happy with the quality of oil. Now I want to do everythinkg right. First I will need small tube for about 1-3 oz of buds. Probably the cheapest will come to use stainless steel. I want to make two tubes, shorter for about 1 oz of buds and longer one for about 3 oz. If somebody could tell me what will be the best length of the tube, best diameter thickness of the stainless steel tube.

Yea i can throw a list together of bare essentials you need.

And i will be making a step by step guide with pics just waiting on the Dinafem Fruit to finish as all that will be ran. Hoping in approx a week il be able to get something up.
