Mephisto Genetics Big sm0's

It's all just hard to swallow. Should be well past any nutrient problems. Ph was spot on and double checked with 2 blue lab meters, soil is checking out. Maybe a little to much calmag. That I always add first. I usually fill multiple 1/2 gallon mason jars while the res fills up. Dump the calmag in the first jar, shake it up and pour it in. At that point I flip the pump that circulates the water to the elevated storage for 5-10 minutes while I add nutrients to the other mason jars. This helps mix it as well as the shake.

Since I just started using silica and haven't read anything about when to add it I have been adding this last. I picked up on people adding it as a ph up which I also noticed works well. So I assumed they added it last as well. Maybe that added to it too.

Got the maxi series going too @Waira the ingredients and quantity of ingredients is impressive. As we talked I am 100% against these crazy expensive nutrients.

The cob power is no joke. 450 watts above a 4x4 is way to much. It's cooked my plants way to long. Jacking it as high as possible is a waste of electricity too. I may have to build another monster low wattage light to take down the last high powered cob fixture I have hanging.

We grow buds not leaves so that's why I defoliate in my grows. You're doing fine bro @BigSm0 you just under estimated the intensity of your lights is all and the pictures show it. I found it easier to burn the plants with the 3500K 1812's than the 6500K 1212's........in veg the 1212's have been on my leaves like a T5 with no issue.
I need to find one of my 3 par meters and get some solid numbers. The 350 watts covers just over 4x5, the 450 watt light covers a 4x4 and that looks terrible. @Autoflowa im guessing I'm around 600-800 umoles above the 4x4. Try telling a photo grower that's to much light lol.

In veg adding extra calmag seemed to grow the healthiest plants I have ever seen. Once flower hits it turns quickly. Adding silica properly will help and I do think extra pk.

You should try some hydroplex for bloom. I am getting my best buds so far using it and LED's. Frost, the colors, the potency, and even yield so far. I know it's a combination of everything but the hydroplex works. It's all I add to the Ionic one part I run when I'm not doing no till.

Why not just dim the 450 watter?
I would if I could. It's the last production made panel I have in use. Its a great light if you have the head room but it always gave me trouble in flower. Last run I had shorter plants under it and kept it 40" above the tops. This run it's at 36" and it's to close.

Oh, my bad. Thought it was a diy. Guess that one is for the shorties...

I'd be effed if I couldn't dim. 6' ceilings suck.

I hear you. I have slanted ceilings which sort of hurts me.6'-8'. This was one of the main reasons I started making the AutoCobs actually. The shorter 6' section was very hard to grow under, it's also long and narrow and no matter which light or DIY I had used it was always a problem. Starting 4 plants under a 200 watt bar worked till I needed to space the plants out. Then I thought what if I could just make singles and space them!! Then when I thought about adjusting them individually I couldn't resist.

Ye big I take 2 ltrs of water out the mixing bucket add the silica to that give it a good stir then set aside I then add the calmag to the mixing bucket then stir In the silica then all the other nutes [emoji106]

I hope this is part of the problem. The silica going in last could Be just the ticket. More I think about it the more I doubt I'll use it again anyways. Before, during or even after this stuff does things to nutrients I'd rather not see happen. Grown some sturdy bug-less plants before I used it so I'm sure it will continue without it.

One of the reasons I use it is it seems to stabalize my tap water in the res and makes my branches un snappable (is that even a word [emoji23] [emoji23]) they bend but they don't break adding it last will just gunk up all your other nutes and it's always best to mix it separate in water then add after calmag you will be surprised how strong the branches become [emoji106]
