You beat me to this one! I would have given a similar review. A great option on the less expensive side.

thanks Robwars ...:stylez rasta smoke:

I use the Black Star 240 UV, but didn't respond to jm because i'm complete newb with LED's
But apparently it is adding to my cal/mag def?
I wish it also had an on/off switch but i didn't pay much for it.

Just finished my second grow with my bs240uv and I think my yeilds are up 20-40% from my others. Love this light.

i still give it the frugal choice, as the best bang for the buck! and dont forget the new chrome's from blackstar, they have the three way switch for two, four, or six spot's and have had it for over a year. 2x the penatration of the standard bs. and much better build quality. ihave three regular bs and one chrome:2cents: and if a replacement is ever needed i will go to the chrome.:D::peace:

btw:slap:for great review!

Nice review!
I see you gave "Build quality: 4/5" why is that? are the plastic loose or just doesn't fell that solid?

I should have given it a 5/5 :check: All of my units have worked perfectly for almost 2 years. I gave it a 4/5 due to the messy work on the inside of the unit, messy soldering and someone went wild with some glue  but they work great.
Cheers :smokebuds:
